Within easy driving distance are a wealth of interesting places, including the delightful old towns of Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford, full of beautiful stone buildings. On the edge of Stamford stands Burleigh House, one of England’s greatest Elizabethan houses. Nearby Spalding is an attractive, Dutch-influenced town and centre of the flower-bulb industry, where the Springfields show gardens and the annual flower festival in May are popular. Tattershall Castle (NT), Belton House and Coningsby, noted for its huge one-handed church clock, and the home of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. One of the landmarks of the Fens is the octagonal lantern tower of St Botolph’s Church in Boston. Shop and good pub with food ½ mile in Billingborough, or village pub 300 yards.

We found Abbott’s Farm an excellent house for a family get together spanning 3 generations.
We found Abbott’s Farm an excellent house for a family get together spanning 3 generations. Andy the owner was perfect, dealing immediately with any issue and looking after the pool and hot tub; nothing is too much trouble for him. There is a very well equipped kitchen, plenty of space to spread out and a dining room and lounge big enough for everyone to get together. The pool and hot tub was well used, the wrap around garden is quiet and secluded perfect for the toddler and 2 dogs we had with us. The games room is an added bonus. Abbott’s farm is a great place for a family celebration. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

I booked this cottage holiday for my family and my brothers family just as the lockdown began to ease. A total of 14 (8 adults and 6 kids) of us and we were going to a cottage holiday for the first time so were a little unsure what to expect. I spoke to Andy (the owner) before my booking and he was very nice. Upon arrival we were greeted by Andy's wife Renata who gave us a warm welcome. She showed us around the house and she was so nice. Everything was as described. The place was huge and well organised. Cottage - very spacious and clean, the bedrooms are big with comfy beds, loads of cupboards space. The kitchen was excellent with 3 ovens, 2 large fridge freezers, dining table, 5 burner gas hob, double sink and loads more. I forgot fully loaded with pans, cutlery, plates, glasses, blenders etc. You get what I mean. Swimming pool - Excellent size pool which is private and exclusive to the cottage. It is not overlooked and a great size. and good depth as well. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool. Actually we all did as it was so nice. Jacuzzi/hot tub - Amazing which comfortably sits 4 adults and a couple of kids. The temperature was so nice and hot, we saw the highest being 40.5 degrees and it was amazing to chill out in. The temperature averages at around 37 degrees which was still very hot. The Jacuzzi has a Bluetooth and can play music which we made good use of. The jets in the Jacuzzi are nice and powerful and can be controlled. Games room - A great detached games room which has a pool table, table tennis table and football table. Full sets of pool and snooker balls and good cues. Lots of table tennis bats and balls. Andy and Renata were very friendly and were always there to help. Andy cleaned the pool and serviced the pool and Jacuzzi ready for us to use the next day. We are going to return to this cottage again soon. See you soon Andy and Renata.
