10 miles west of Starkville. 5 bedroom camphouse with swimming pool, lake and room to roam. Sleeps 12 in the camphouse. Washer and dryer. Tankless hot water so you will not run out of hot water even with 12 people taking showers. Gas grill, charcoal grill, satellite TV with DVR, large front porch and screened back porch. NO INTERNET - hot spots work well.

ATTENTION: We have four outside cats that hang out on the front porch so if you have someone that is allergic to cats, please plan accordingly. This house is in the country so cats are nice to have around for pests control.

Family Gathering Place

We were in Sturgis for a funeral, but made the most of it by staying here. The family was able to all visit one another with lots of room to spread out. Thank you to the family for letting us stay there and go fishing. It’s a little piece of heaven tucked away. Would recommend and go back for sure.

We had an awesome time at Chuck and Susan's place! The house was amazing, it was like home away from home. We enjoyed the fishing lake and the swimming pool! Perfect for our baseball team and families. We came down for regional tournament. Some days we only had one game so the pool, yard space, and pond along with the large porch area were perfect to entertain our kids and play games! Beds were all very comfortable. Plenty of space for all of our people to spread out!

Perfect for large gatherings

We had (5) adult couples and (6) teenagers spent (2) nights for the Eggbowl/Thanksgiving. We enjoyed it immensely. Big kitchen area that opens up into the den. Large kitchen table - great for card games after a big meal. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking. Large deck with plenty of rocking chairs, swings, chairs. It's not fancy, but very clean and comfortable. Every one of us said "we need to rent this again for next Eggbowl". Also, we were concerned about running out of hot water with so many people needing to shower, but that was not a problem.

Great stay. Very cool house. We loved it!

We were in Starkville for a State football game. The house was perfect for 6 men. The two main room beds were very large; one room w/bunks had very large beds for bunks; the family room and kitchen were big and spacious. We loved the trophies on the walls since we're all outdoorsmen. The property is private with a lake and pool. Host was always responsive. My only other comment was that the numbered address of the house didn't show up in Google Maps or Waze. That's not the fault of the owner. Just follow his directions on the listing and you'll arrive fine. When I come back for a game, I will certainly consider staying here again.

A group of friends (who have never been to Mississippi) travelled to see the Arkansas @ Mississippi State game. This house was fantastic! Really great charm, very clean, close to the campus and stadium. We would highly recommend!

Great Family Meetup

This was the 2nd year that out family has gathered at providence. It was very nice to hang out in the pool, fish in the pond, sit on the porch, or check out disc golf in Starkville. The property was great and cell reception improved greatly since the previous year. We hope to be here again in the future.

Perfect Family Getaway!

We had the best time, even in June we spent most of our time on that perfect back porch. It was so nice being able to sit in the shade while others enjoyed the pool. The property was clean and a good time was had by all. Check in and check out instructions were clear and we appreciated the opportunity to stay all together under one roof.

Have all your family and friends all in one place for events or just a retreat.
180 acres all to yourself. No issues with parking, neighbors, people running up and down the hall of the hotel or dancing on the floor above you.

Peaceful, beautiful quiet sanctuary away from the noise and traffic of Starkville. Hang out here before and after football, basketball and baseball games.

What makes this property unique

100% catch and release!!!! For $250 per boat per day you can have the pleasure of fishing on this 10 acre, 9 year old pond that is managed by Southeastern Pond for trophy large mouth bass. Fishing is not allowed with rental of the property. 8+ pound fish are common and if you are lucky you may be one of the few to catch a 10 pounder (2 were caught in 2018). Many people have caught the largest bass of their lives out of this lake. If you are interested in a day or two fishing please contact me.
