Had a great stay at The coach house, property very clean and tidy.

Had a great stay at The coach house, property very clean and tidy. Great location to visit places in the lake district. The property could do with some maintenance done lots of light bulbs need changing, bath panel is loose cold tap needs reconnected in the bath, smoke alarms need to be placed on the ceiling not sitting on shelves in the kitchen! Also on arrival bin was full and never got emptied on our 7 day stay! Needs a bigger fridge freezer luckily we eat out a lot on holiday so wasn't to much of an issue for us! Overall a pleasant stay and would return again.

The Coach House was lovely unfortunately there wasn’t much in the village and the pub which was only a few yards away was closed until further notice which was disappointing as according to the pubs website it was dog friendly and did food? There wasn’t a supermarket just a butcher and baker, a fish shop which only opened between 4 ad 7pm and a wine shop - you had to go to Ulverston for restaurants and shops. The house was so well appointed and secure parking and secure area for the dog was great

We had a nice week in the Coach House.

We had a nice week in the Coach House. Property was located in a convenient position to visit other parts of the Lakes. Not much going on locally, but we quite like somewhere quiet. The main road spoilt the ambience a bit, but the estuary and walk to Roudsea woods was beautiful. Shame the local pub was shut, but not far to the next up the hill. Nice traditional Butcher's shop at the end of the road. On the whole a good accommodation, beatiful thick stone and slate walls, private drive area. The patio area is more of a forecourt, no garden, but adequate to sit outside. However on a slight negative we had to replace the batteries in the TV remotes, some bulbs in the light fittings were blown, bath panel coming off, dust behind cupboards/radiators etc, loose skirting in kitchen, generally things that could be improved at little expense in our opinion and would have made our stay more comfortable.

This was our first visit to the Lake District and WOW! what a fabulous place.

This was our first visit to the Lake District and WOW! what a fabulous place. This cottage is in a good location for visiting and exploring the Lakes and mountains. We had a comfortable stay in this cottage. There was only 2 of us but can see that it would be just as good for a family and dogs if you have any. The locals were all lovely and helpful and even pointed us in the right direction for some more unusual spots to visit (less tourists) and some of the mountain passes are really worth a drive through. It was great to have parking as it would have been a bit of a squeeze in the village. We can't wait to return!!
