In response to Covid we clean the following between each check in: light switches, remotes, faucet handles, handles to dishwasher, lamp switches, door knobs, sheets (as always, along with comforters), grill knobs, and cabinet doors.

Responsible adults, age 25 and over, are able to book. Registered guests only.

Check in is from 3:00pm and afterwards, check out is 11:00 am SHARP. There is a $50 fee for late checkout.

Come escape the hustle and bustle of city life at Cabin 6 Retreat. We are a father/daughter team offering visitors a beautiful stay in the Hocking Hills area away from the typical tourist traffic. Cabin 6 Retreat is nestled among the hills featuring breathtaking views as well as the opportunity to watch deer nibble on corn that is scattered beneath the trees. This beautiful property boasts a star gazing deck with fire pit, 2 tiered deck with hot tub, grill, numerous bird feeders, all hickory flooring and cabinetry, new memory foam mattress and more. Cabin 6 Retreat offers one bedroom and sleeps 2. Full size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, dishes, utensils, bedding, towels, toiletries, condiments, trash bags, foil, paper towels are all included. The only thing you need to bring is your own firewood. Use our telescope on the deck to view the stars at night as you unwind.

If you want to be near the Hocking Hills but not necessarily near all of the tourist traffic, this is definitely the place for you. Cabin 6 Retreat is 6 miles from Clearcreek Metro Park, 11 miles from Hocking Hills Flea Market, 9 miles from Cantwell Cliffs, and 22 miles from Old Man's cave.

This property is attached to the owner's home, but he has done a lot of work to give Cabin 6 Retreat its own space. A 500 ft. driveway was put in so that guests have their own access to the cabin without using the main dwelling's driveway. The homeowner typically stays at his other property.

We require a $200 refundable deposit. Deposit will NOT be refunded in the event of damages, unregistered guests, and smoking indoors.

The only 'negative' thing i have to say is the misleading listing. We did not see that the 'cabin' was over the garage until a couple of days before. But honestly, it was a great place and time! We loved watching all the hummingbirds and deer. The separate drive was super cute and gave the perfect cabin feel. The hot tub was amazing and perfect after our long hiking days. It was a good location. Would stay again if we ever go back.

Weekend getaway

This cabin was centrally located. Just far enough out of town but close enough when we needed something. Our stay was relaxing. We watched movies on the DVD player, played games, sat in the hot tub and enjoyed watching the birds. The owners thought of everything that made our stay stress free.

Cabin 6 was very clean, decorated in a lovely style and included amenities like coffee, lotions and maps. Not too far from Hocking hills and some local towns. Secluded with a fairly steep driveway in. Did notice Poison ivy in the area, so stay on the path.

Excellent “unplugged” getaway!

This is one of the cleanest, well stocked cabins we have ever visited! The amenities were total unbelievable! The hot tub was clean and very well maintained! It was quite and tranquil. No internet was a plus. Only one bar of cell service was also a plus for us during our visit. We also found the rooster crowing from near by very charming.

Return to work getaway

My husband and I stayed in cabin 6 for 2 nights. The cabin was just right for the two of us. We loved the hot tub. The birdfeeder outside the kitchen window was a nice touch. I enjoyed listening to the birds in the morning and watching the chickens that wander around the property. The stocked bathroom and kitchen was a nice touch.

Amazing

Everything was beyond our expectations! The property is in a hidden back area so we were able to experience nature and stars were so clear at night. The hot tub provided much needed relief after a long kayaking trip and hiking. We felt as if we were home and would definitely love to come back again! Sara, Mike & Angie do a fantastic job keeping the property in tip-top shape and we are so thankful they let us enjoy their little piece of heaven

Not what I thought.

The place was very nice and clean. Didn’t know it was connected to main house. A lot of traffic in and out of main house. Didn’t feel secluded at all. Very disappointed.

Cute Cabin with a view

We had a great time at the mountain themed cabin. It was super clean when we arrived and had all the amenities you would need. Cookware/ shampoo/lotion, full size fridge and a dishwasher. Plus there was salt/ pepper & coffee (although we brought our own, because usually at VRBOs there is not extra items. ) But there was sugar/ flour/ etc. There was a nice hot tub and fire pit with a view. Unfortunately for us, we had rain the entire 3 days so we could not take advantage of the hot tub or fire pit but there was a massive selection of DVD's and we snuggled in for a lot of binge watching and we did our own cooking. We did drive around the country side and saw lots of deer. One of the trails was closed on Monday and Tuesday, so we didn't get to do any hikes between the rain showers, but it was so quiet and a great way to decompress from the daily grind.
