The apartment enjoys a privileged location, since it is very close to the great attractions that Madrid has to offer, but at the same time it is located in a quiet area that will allow you to rest.
You can come by car without problem since there is a parking lot in front. We are outside the Madrid Centro area so you can enter with your car without problems.
To begin with, it is 100 meters from the Retiro Park, very close to its Rose Garden and the Crystal Palace and a few minutes from the Big Pond or the Forest of Remembrance. Walking through the park, or on any of the ecological means of transport allowed (bicycles or electric skateboards, for example), is an ideal alternative to go to the city center (Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor), passing through the Puerta de Alcalá and Fuente Cibeles.
The art walk, where the most important museums in the city are located, is a 7-minute walk away. Ordering them from smallest to longest, you will find, among others, the Museum of Anthropology, the National Museum Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the Royal Botanical Garden, CaixaForum, the Museo Nacional del Prado, the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Museo Arqueológico Nacional.
In addition, in the same neighborhood and without leaving more than 4 or 5 minutes from the apartment, you will also find some points of cultural interest, such as the Royal Tapestry Factory, the Pantheon of Illustrious Men or the avant-garde arts center La Neomudéjar.
The apartment is very well connected by public transport. The Menéndez Pelayo metro station is a 3-minute walk away, where you can take metro line 1 to get to the center of Madrid (Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor in 15 minutes). In addition, it has several bus lines, including the circular ones, that will take you comfortably to any point in the city (10,14,26,32, 63, 152, C1, C2 and N9).
The Atocha train station is a 7-minute walk away, which is ideal whether you come to Madrid by high-speed train (AVE) or another long-distance train, or if you plan to visit any of the nearby cities of greatest tourist interest. (Toledo and Segovia 30 minutes by AVE, for example). At the Atocha station you can also take the bus that will take you directly to the airport.
If you come by car, don't worry. there is a parking lot right in front of the house.
