Harbour View lies close to the heart of the historic town of Castletown, on the site of the old Castletown Brewery. There is a spectacular view over the harbour and to South Barrule in the distance. The harbour area is dominated by the magnificent 13th-century Castle Rushen with its impressive fortress, which was once home to the Kings and Lords of Mann. The heart of historic Castletown is just a 2-minute walk away with all the facilities you would need, as well as four Manx National Heritage venues, and the fascinating story of ‘Peggy’, an 18th-century armed yacht, which can be found in the Nautical Museum. The beach is just 5 minutes away with some glorious coastal footpaths to follow. The railway station is just 5 minutes away with summer services to Douglas and Port Erin, and all stations in-between, and the bus stops outside the door. After a hard day of enjoying yourself you can sit back and relax or visit one of the Castletown pubs and restaurants.
