The Casa Palacio is a seventeenth-century monastic palace entirely restored, with the utmost respect for the environment, and preserves the original stone structure and has three fully equipped detached houses. Two of these houses can sleep ten people each with bedrooms on the ground floor for easy access, and the third house can sleep four. Mave is a small, quiet well connected town.
Teresa and Alvaro, a couple who addressed the rehabilitation of the building which make up the Casa Palacio de Mave, currently engaged in rural tourism incorporating a special houses, different, that help the understanding and enjoyment of the mountains in Palencia. The Casa Palacio de Mave Project is undertaken with the highest quality and always aiming for the utmost level of comfort and respect towards the environment.
CASA“EL CINTO” The name comes from the mountain that lies in front of the house, El Cinto de Becerril. The house sleeps up to ten people, and has everything you need to spend a few very comfortable days. In the living room with television, there is a wood stove that will make your winter stay more enjoyable. The underfloor heating downstairs brings great warmth to the room, on the top floor there are conventional radiators. This is a house with a living room, kitchen and toilet and a bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom on ground floor. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with two beds and one with a double bed and a cot. There is one bathroom. The top floor sleeps four.
CASA “LA HORADADA” The canyon formed by the river Pisuerga in the vicinity of the house gives it its name. This house is equipped to sleep ten people. Like the other houses it has underfloor heating on ground floor, where there is one double bedroom, a bathroom, the living room with wood stove, and the kitchen. On the first floor are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, as well as one bathroom. The top floor sleeps four.
CASA “MONTE CILDÁ” This house is named after the mountain that are located in front of it, where there was a Celtic and later Roman fort, a place of great historical importance. The house is equipped to accommodate four people. On the ground floor is the living room with wood stove, television and the kitchen. It has all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable. There is also a toilet. The ground floor has underfloor heating. On the first floor is double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. It also has a reading area. On the top floor there is one double bedroom and a bathroom.

La literie est de bonne qualité et la maison était propre à l'arrivée. Cependant la deuxième chambre n'a pas vraiment de fenetre et est sous les combles. elle ne peut pas être considérée comme une chambre. Nous étions 4, il aurait au moins fallu le double d'assiettes et de couverts. Etant donné les chaleurs, la fraicheur de la maison est son gros point fort !

Una vieja casona en un entorno de tranquilidad
Es una preciosa restauración de un conjunto de casas antiguas. El resultado, además, ha conseguido modernizarlas y dejarlas muy cómodas. Tiene todos los equipamientos y las camas son muy cómodas. En nuestra casa (“El Cinto”), que era la más grande, había 10 camas.
El entorno es de enorme tranquilidad y no se oyen más ruidos que el ulular de las palomas y ocasionalmente las campanas de la vecina iglesia parroquial del pueblo.
Está estratégicamente ubicada en una interesantísima zona, rodeada de iglesias románicas a las que se podría ir caminando y muy cerca de Aguilar de Campóo, que es un importante conjunto monumental y sede de la exposición de “Las Edades del Hombre” en 2018.

Hemos pasado unos días estupendos. La casa es muy cómoda y está muy bien equipada. Los dueños han sido muy atentos con nosotros. Recomiendo totalmente la casa.

Una mala experiencia
Hice una reserva para los días 9, 10 y 11 de noviembre 2017, abonando una señal.
Nada más llegar a la casa rural, aboné el importe restante restantes.
Pernocté la primera noche y el dia siguiente mi vehículo no arranco, avería que supuso la interrupción de mi estancia, al tener que retirar mi vehículo una grúa y regresar mi pareja y yo a Madrid en taxi.
Solicité a la encargada que me había recibido en la casa rural, la devolución de, al menos, una parte del importe total, indicándome lo hablaría con los propietarios y que me harían la devolución por transferencia bancaria.
Ante la falta de noticias, tuve que insistir por teléfono y mail, recibiendo como respuesta su negativa a hacerme devolución alguna.
No me parece lógico que, habiéndome alojado una sola noche, me cobrasen tres noches.
En todo caso habría entendido justo abonar una sola noche y una penalización razonable por la reserva no ejecutada, pero evidentemente, al haber cometido el error de pagar la totalidad de la estancia al llegar al alojamiento y no al final, los propietarios tenían la “sartén por el mango” y se valieron de tal circunstancia para negarme la devolución que me correspondía.
