Charming villa with swimming pool for exclusive use and spectacular sea view in Altavilla Milicia. The swimming pool is located in an elevated position reached by 15 steps, surrounded by olive trees, a well-kept garden with a lawn of over 500 m² where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the sea while enjoying an aperitif under the wooden gazebo. On the ground floor of the villa there are two kitchens, one internal and the other external, fully functional and enslaved. The outdoor kitchen in lava stone and decorated by hand is located under a fully closable wooden porch of over 60 m2. Here you can cook dishes of all kinds without leaving bad smells in the villa, also being able to use the wood oven and barbecue. Altavilla Milicia beach is characterized by a long coast of soft sand with equipped beaches. Typical of the Altavillese landscape are the three coastal guard towers, these structures can be admired along the entire coast of the town. In the southeast part of the coast there are also two beautiful coves among the rocks, watched over by a medieval tower.
The position of the villa will allow you to reach many places in Sicily, Bagheria with its splendid eighteenth-century villas, the UNESCO sites of Cefalù, Monreale with the wonderful Duomo and Palermo, Italian capital of culture 2018.

Die Villa ist sehr schön, sauber und genau wie in der Anzeige beschrieben. Sehr schöne gepflegte Außenanlage mit Außenküche und genügend Sitzgelegenheiten um den ganzen Tag draußen zu verbringen. Das absolute Highlight ist der riesige Pool, von dem man einen Blick aufs Meer hat. Elio, der Vermieter,ist super freundlich, hilfsbereit und hat uns sehr nett empfangen. Elio war zu jeder Zeit für Fragen erreichbar und hat uns sogar mit einer Reservierung in einem von ihm empfohlenen Restaurant geholfen. Alles in allem kann man die Villa nur weiterempfehlen.

Very nice place

Sehr empfehlenswert. Wir waren 6 Personen. Die Aussenküche mit Terrasse bietet sehr viel Platz für alle. Der Pool Bereich ist pure Erholung und Entspannung. Sehr ruhig man hört nur die Vögel. Gastgeber hilfsbereit und nett. „Grazie torneremo“ kommen wieder.

Top Tip für Sizilien

Die Villa ist wirklich sehr empfehlenswert ! Sehr gute Lage, schöner Garten mit mediterranen und tropischen Pflanzen die außerordentlich gut gepflegt sind. Der Pool ist überdurchschnittlich groß und dank der Pflege von Elio sehr, sehr sauber. Nach einem langen Ausflug (z.B. ins valle dei templi) ist es ein großes Vergnügen sich im kühlen Pool abzukühlen! Noch ein Wort zu Elio - dem Besitzer und Verwalter. Elio ist ein sehr netter und stets bemühter Verwalter...nicht nur kam er 2-3mal die Woche um nachzusehen ob alles in Ordnung ist...er kam auch nie mit leeren Händen...immer hat er uns sizilianische Gebäckspezialitäten mitgebracht. Ebenso hat er uns bei unserer verspäteten Ankunft um 22:00h noch sehr herzlich empfangen und uns auch noch mit einem Imbiss versorgt ! Wirklich dankbar aber sind wir für die Unterstützung bei unserem Abreiseproblem...unsere Fluggesellschaft (Air Dolomiti) hat uns am Abreisetag (3Std. vor Abfug) lapidar mittgeteilt, dass unser Flug gecancelt ist...ohne Angabe von Gründen oder wie es nun weitergehen soll. Elio hat daraufhin für uns mit der Fluggesellschaft sowie der Autovermietung telefoniert und uns eine weiter Übernachtung in seiner Villa angeboten !!! Dank seiner Hilfe hat unser Urlaub doch noch ein erfreuliches Ende gefunden....lieber Elio noch einmal ein herzliches Danke von uns ! Noch eine Bemerkung zu Villa...wer Wert auf Privatsphäre legt, ist hier absolut richtig!

Lovely villa and great host!

Elio our host met us at the villa on our arrival. Greated us with a coffee and lovely ice creams, made us feel very welcome and showed us arround. An excellent host! We loved our stay at the villa, pool cleaned 3 times during our stay. Very well equiped with a stunning sea view. This property is fairly remote without a car, and no walking access to the beach or rail station. We did however have a very reliable and available taxi driver which allowed us to have outings to Palermo and cefalu by train, which was a good service and on time . Would definitely return !

Sommerliche Badeferien im Herbst

Die Villa lässt keine Wünsche offen. Der Pool ist traumhaft. Der Gastgeber, Elio, kümmert sich sehr sorgfältig um alles. Italien und insbesondere Sizilien sind ohnehin tolle Ferienziele. Anfang Oktober, wo es bei uns schon recht kühl ist, werden es tagsüber bis 26 Grad (Pool: 23 Grad). Das ist ideal zur Entspannung. Ausflüge auf die ganze Insel sind gut möglich (Taormina, Villa Casale, Selinunte). Danke Elio, wir kommen wieder

dreamy friendship holiday in beautiful Sicily

My 5 friends and I had a week holiday here after finishing our degree. The villa was stunning inside and out; Elio the host clearly takes some much care and pride with every part of the property. The pool area is the highlight of this place as it is up some steps surrounded by a beautiful garden with sea and hill views, and the pool is massive! The outdoor kitchen is very well equipped and we spent many evenings cooking together and drinking sicilian wine. Elio whatsapped us everyday to check in and would come every other day to water the plants and clean the pool, he would bring us treats and was very accommodating to our dietary requirements! We had an electric hire car and he and offered a charging cable for it, he thought of our every need. While in Sicily we went to Palermo (once by train, you can walk to the train station but the way home is all up hill), Cefalu, went to le tre pisicine, hired a boat near Mondello, and generally explored Altavilla Millicia (lovely friendly local shop and wine bars). On arrival we paid a damage deposit of 240 euros and he also said the electric wasn't included in the price of the villa so be mindful of that if you are planning on running the AC. Overall can't recommend this place enough, we already miss it.

Wonderful stay, perfect host

We had a wonderful stay in Sicilly. The house and Pool were fantastic. Elio was a great host. He was very attentive and brought us a variaty of nice Sicilian specialities. The house is spacious and kept very clean. The outside kitchen was a fun and sociable place to cook together. The pool and the pool area are a nice place to sit and relax. We all enjoyed swimming in it. The kids had alot of fun in the pool. We went on a few day trips to see some of Sicily's temples/churches/ towns and beaches. We would recommend staying here if you were thinking of going to Sicilly.

Oase van rust, groen en gastvrijheid

We verbleven 1 week op deze locatie. Achter het schuifhek ligt een groot perceel, met een enorme buitenruimte, met een complete buitenkeuken en veranda. Via een trap kan je het hoger gelegen, prachtige zwembad bereiken. Het is heerlijk vertoeven in de mooi aangelegde en fantastisch onderhouden tuin. In het huis en keuken ontbreekt het aan niets, de uitrusting is zeer compleet. De gastheer is een erg aardige attente gastheer die ons kennis liet maken met typische Siciliaans producten! We hebben genoten.

Heerlijk verblijf, prachtige tuin met groot zwembad

Warme ontvangst door Elio, die ook in de week goed voor ons gezorgd heeft! Er is een prachtige tuin met een heel fijn zwembad. Het is rustig en je hebt mooi uitzicht op zee. Er is een grote buitenkeuken, een pingpongtafel, hangmatten en verschillende fijne zitjes.

Rest and Relaxation

A wonderful week’s holiday in a beautiful, large villa. Exceptionally clean and extremely well equipped. Nothing was too much trouble for our host Elio. The pool was fantastic. Village was 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive. Train station 25 minute walk but a lot of it was not on pavement but very handy for day trip to Palermo and Cefalù

Holiday at villa ficodindia

I went on holiday to sicily with my husband son and daughter in law, we stayed at villa ficodindia at altervilla milicia. It was a lovely villa with beautiful gardens very clean. The swi ming pool was well maintained by elio himself . We cooked in the outside kitchen which was well equipped. Elio and his wife were brilliant hosts welcoming us on the day . Nothing was too much trouble and they kept in touch to make sure all was well . There were other touches very nice thoughtful touches ( little surprises) which we found very thoughtful. If I went back again we would definitely stay at the lovely villa ,and the owner elio and his family were just as lovely .thank you elio for a wonderful time at your villa.

Maison très agréable et extérieurs splendides

La villa est conçue pour vivre en exterieur, très grande terrasse et cuisine extérieure très bien équipée. La piscine et le jardin sont superbes, en hauteur, avec vue sur la mer. Tous les magasins nécessaires au quotidien sont accessibles à pieds. Elio est très disponible et plein de surprises culinaires! Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine.

A truly lovely villa with a fabulous host

We could not offer a higher recommendation for a vacation villa than we do for Villa Ficondindia. Elio was a tremendous host and surprised us with treats during our entire stay. I won't say more about that so I don't ruin the surprises. It was quite hot while we were in Sicily so having the pool with a covered seating area with a view of the sea and constant breezes countered any concern that we had with the heat. The presence of a lovely grassy area surrounding the pool was also very nice for our dog that accompanied us on our visit. Also, having a bathroom and an outside shower next to the pool was great. While we didn't cook while we were there the presence of both an inside and outside kitchen area seemed splendid for those that want to do so. The villa has an unusual location near a cemetery but is very secluded in a delightful location once you arrive at the villa itself. The villa is also within walking distance of Nicola's butcher shop and restaurant and other places offering great street food and fruit. The villa is also very secure with a gated entrance with space for parking inside the gate. Personally, I didn't see a need for extensive security in the neighborhood in which the property is located but having the security should lessen any concern guests might have in that regard. While we did not personally see this as any negative it is important to know that the villa and grounds are not particularly conducive to persons with physical disabilities as the pool is on an upper level reached by a pretty stone and tile walkway and with the bedrooms on an upper level. One should also be aware that the deposit needs to be in cash to be paid upon arrival or shortly thereafter so be prepared so that you are not surprised by that requirement. Overall, this villa was the highlight of our all to brief stay in Sicily. Thanks Elio!

Fantastic Villa in a non-tourist village withots of nice and friendly people.

Fantastic Villa with a Hugo pool and garden in a non-tourist village with lots of nice people, restaurants. The host, Eli and his wife is extremely friendly and helpful.
