The property was peaceful. Lots of birds flittering about. If you like to fish, especially for bass this is a great place. Every 2 hour trip I took out I caught 10-15 bass. All 3.5+ pounds. The largest was over 5 and I had multiple that size. The location of the fire pit right by the lake was a perfect end to the days. Will definitely be booking again. There are some minor spruce up repairs to be made but communication with the host indicated they plan to do those this year.
We had a great relaxing stay. The cabin was cozy and clean. We visited the firepit every night of our stay and witnessed a spectacular show of northern lights. We saw lots of wildlife and birds.
We stayed 6 nights in this cozy cabin and fished nearby lakes plus the Long Lake this cabin sits upon. Hostess Robin was responsive and helpful. Facility was clean and accurately depicted. Boat & motor were a nice amenity. This place is so convenient to so many awesome towns like Battle Lake, Fergus Falls, Clitheral, Ashby, Dalton and the dozen or so lakes nearby. Loved the great experiences we had.
Lovely property was bigger than expected as described as a tiny home. Was perfect for two or a small family as we did not utilise the loft . We made use of the gas bbq and wanted for anything in the kitchen
Plenty of out door seating fire pit down by the lake and the use of the boat was fabulous for fishing and all we had to do was refil the gas .
Would definitely return if in the area again.
This tiny lakeside home fit my family perfectly. 2 adults, 15 year old, and 11 year old. We each had our own space for sleeping arrangements. Quiet area that was very private. Fergus Falls and Battle Lakes located nearby. Owner assisted us with finding nearby activities to keep everyone entertained. Large yard. Lake was peaceful/quiet. Water was green, so our kids didn’t want to swim in it but we found a nearby clear lake with public beach just miles down the road. Being able to use the fishing boat was a big plus too!
This was our first time using VRBO. We don’t know what to truly expect. We loved this tiny home. It was perfect size for 4 adults and met our expectations. Definitely quiet and relaxing. Great place to unplug!
Our stay at the tiny home on long lake was nice. However, when they say tiny home – they mean it. We had a few rainy days, and it felt a little too small to spend all day in. The main bedroom is quite small, there are some drawers and a closet to store stuff in, but otherwise not a lot of room to put anything. The bathroom as well was quite small. There is a shelf behind the toilet to put some toiletries, but there isn’t a sink counter. The kitchen cabinets all had dishes in it, and there is not a lot of counter space, so the only place to put dry food you brought is the small kitchen table. The upstairs bedroom is not a full ceiling, more of a loft.
The deck great, and it was partly shaded, and there was a grill to use. We appreciated there being a boat and motor to use, unfortunately did not catch any fish, maybe just due to our lack of knowledge of where to fish on the lake. Our dog enjoyed jumping from the dock, but getting out of the lake was kind of steep for him.
The driveway down to the cabin in very steep. We had a truck so no problem, but if you have a smaller vehicle, I am not sure how that would work.
The TV is only for movies. It would have been nice to get some antenna channels just for news/weather in the morning.
It was nice being close to battle lake, and Fergus falls. We didn’t get to do too much in town since we had our pets with us though.
I loved the cabin, the seclusion was perfect for my alone time getaway. I would definitely go back if it weren’t for the highly perfumed odor and my allergy to fragrance.
The bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything you’d need.
The host was available instantly when I reached out to her.
I’d recommend this little gem!
If u want to get away from humans, this is a good place. Nice property, lots of different lakes in immediate area to fish if thats your thing. Nice sunrises from the dock. Dogs loved the big yard and lake. Cabin was clean and organized.
This property was just what we were looking for. We are a family of 4, with a toddler and an infant. The property was perfect for us. Very clean property. Low cell phone service, but it was great to unplug.
We were lucky to find the cabin on such short notice. The location was very private, big property, cabin worked well for us having the bedroom and our 18 year old son loved his private loft upstairs. Kitchen had pots/pans/utensils, we used the bbq and fire pit (s’mores). wood was provided for the fire pit. We enjoyed the 2 close towns, traveled a little further to bike ride on the Lake Wobegon trail, and were happy to find there are some good breweries in the area. my husband and son enjoyed the fishing boat. We had a lovely few days of quality fam time.
Very nice getaway from daily life. Lots of nature to enjoy on well kept property. Host very accommodating, kind and excellent communication.
Quiet property to enjoy some solitude with 2 very nice communities near by if you need anything or want to browse some fun shops.
Their generosity included the use of their boat which was very nice.
Thanks again and hope to be back.
