Come see why West Battle Lake is one of the best lakes in Otter Tail County. This pristine lake offers some of the best fishing and recreational activities in the area. Just minutes away from the heart of downtown Battle Lake with great restaurants and shops this vacation rental has something to keep the whole family entertained.
With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths along with some extra sleeping spaces, if needed, this property can host a multiple-family getaway. Once you step foot on the lakeside deck the views will take your breath away. One great feature of this property is a large sand play area with a bonfire pit right next to the lake along with an amazing sand bottom lake it will be sure to provide hours of enjoyment.
Host offers window AC and electric heat. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, all pots, pans, utensils, and linens are provided.
Pets are allowed with a pet fee.

Pontoons, paddle boards, kayaks, aqua mats, and utility rafts are available for rent through Sota Lake Home Rentals under marine rentals.

Beautiful lake; wonderful location

Wonderful lake home with lots of space inside and out! Great location easy to find. The stairs in the back were steep, and a lot of steps. The views were beautiful. There was no outdoor table which was a bummer (glass was missing). The window a/c tripped the power during use. The lake was breathtakingly beautiful. We picked ticks off of us every day from the backyard. Overall, great space; neat town; would definitely recommend!

Great space to entertain and relax

This was a great space for several adults and adult children to stay. With several bedrooms, a big kitchen and two living spaces, there was room for all of us. We entertained local family one night and the lower level was perfect for that. We always had our morning coffee out on the deck - very peaceful to watch the lake and breathe fresh air. Close walk/drive into town for trips to restaurants, stores, etc. Management was responsive to my questions. Thanks for allowing our little doggie to come, too! She was as happy to be on the lake as we were.

The ENTIRE basement was unusable due to the overwhelming mildew smell, as well as the downstairs bathroom electrical circuit was broken the entire time we were there. Had to have an electrician come twice during our vacation and still wasn’t able to be fixed. On top of that, the dock was installed incorrectly, and caused SIGNIFICANT damage to my pontoon boat. Both VRBO and the Property Management Company Sota Properties refuses to take liability and fix the damage.If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Unpleasant experience

I was rather disappointed with our stay, the house was littered with dog hair, beds were not clean. The outside was dirty and the decks were poorly maintained, so we did not use them at all. I feel like I've been ripped off.

There were pros and cons.

Positive: Evan was great! View was fantastic! Cons: House was rustic. Dishwasher did not work. 2 microwaves one broken. Basement had a bad mildew smell. Frig downstairs did not work. Bush overgrowth on all stairs but Evan came and fixed that! Sofa cushions were in shreds. I pulled the weeds on the beach and swept all the spider webs off of steps. But we still had a wonderful time!

Nice lake home for vacation

Overall the house and ammenities were good. Plenty of room and beds. The screen door needed a new screen and the french door did not have a screen. There is One window AC unit for entire house. There are 42 steps from the beach to get into the house. The stairs were a challenge for my 80+ year old parents.

Summer vacation 2022

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and was just perfect for our family of 8. We enjoyed the goody bag and local information provided by the host. The host was in process of updating the basement but updates done at the point of our stay were very nice. Thanks for making our stay at Battle Lake a memorable time.
