The apartment is in a building with internal courtyard and it is very quiet. In the Historic Center, close to the major cultural and touristic attractions of Naples. In addition, on foot you can reach: the tube (lines 1 and 2), funicular to Vomero, Cumana railway, supermarket, bars, pastry shops, restaurants, pizzerias and shops of every kind. This apartment is unique because it joins the city center with nature and silence.
This home can give you moments of true relaxation. The garden and the terrace will give you the idea of being in a holiday resort while being in the center of Naples. It is the ideal place to rest after visiting the city: quiet and with an outdoor area at exclusive use of the house's guests.
The apartment can accommodate up to 7 people and is divided as follows: two double bedrooms, living room with kitchen and a double bed sofa, a hall area with a sofa that can be turned into a single bed, a terrace and a garden.
On the terrace overlooking the garden, sheltered by a wooden patio, you can eat sitting at the table or rest on the outdoor sofa.
In the garden, in good weather, you can sunbathe or rest in the shade of the umbrella on the sunbeds on the lawn.
The exposure of the garden is south-west, sunny for most of the day.
The garden is surrounded by other gardens and is very quiet.
Both the interior spaces and the exteriors are furnished in a modern and very welcoming style.
Everything has been recently renovated and is brand new.
The apartment is entirely left to guests who have at their exclusive disposal all internal and external spaces (including the garden).
Guests can access the building's inner courtyard through the electric gate of the building. In the inner courtyard it is possible to park the car for a short time and take advantage of it for unloading and loading luggage.
From the courtyard of the building you will walk a wide staircase of 13 steps to reach the apartment on the mezzanine floor. After the entrance door, 4 steps down to reach the rooms of the house and the terrace with the garden, all placed at the same level except for one of the bedroom, located at a higher level (you need to climb 6 steps).
The neighborhood
Casa degli aranci is in a very characteristic neighborhood with historic buildings, full of life, convenient for its centrality and for purchases.
Very close is the market of "Pignasecca" with the folklore of its fish shops and stalls of every kind.
Near the house, within walking distance, there are several sites of historical and cultural interest such as: the National Museum (free admission the first Sunday of every month), the churches of Gesù Nuovo and of S. Chiara with the cloister, the Basilica of S. Lorenzo Maggiore and its annexed excavations (recommended is a babà with cream at the historical Capparelli pastry shop), Napoli Sotterranea (guided tours start from Piazza S. Gaetano), the Chapel of S. Severo whose most important work is the Veiled Christ, until you reach Piazza Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, Piazza Municipio with the Maschio Angioino castle and, continuing, the promenade Partenope with its restaurants, pizzerias and cafes overlooking Capri, the Sorrento Peninsula and Mount Vesuvius .
Within walking distance, you can reach various restaurants where eating very well (and not just pizza):
The pizza is good everywhere, my favorite is that of the "Novecento" pizzeria in via Pasquale Scura 5 and "Pizzeria dell Angelo" in piazzetta Nilo.
To taste the traditional cuisine, I recommend 3 very small and simple restaurants with an excellent quality / price ratio: "Nennella" in the Spanish district (the main specialty is pasta and potatoes with provola), "La taverna del Buongustaio" in via Basilio Puoti 8 (excellent fried anchovies and baccalà) and "O Tabaccaro", a stone s throw from the sea, at the Borgo Marinaro, with boats moored alongside (appetizers of all kinds, fish-based starters, fresh fish fry).
For nightlife and aperitifs, it is certainly the most suitable neighborhood and there are many clubs in the area. I personally prefer to sit down at an outdoor table in one of Piazza Bellini s pubs where the atmosphere is very relaxing among artists, university students and tourists.
A few minutes from Casa degli aranci you also find a large supermarket, bars, pastry shops.
To reach Casa degli Aranci, for those coming from the Central Station, there is the underground that takes only two stops to Montesanto (Line 1) or Piazza Dante (Line 2), practically equidistant from Casa degli Aranci (five minutes' walk).
For those arriving by car or taxi it is possible a baggage discharge in the inner courtyard (I will welcome you opening the automatic door). You can park your car in one of paying garages near there.
On foot from Casa degli aranci you can reach important public transport means: the underground (lines 1 and 2), the funicular to Vomero, the Cumana railway that crosses the city and reaches the coast north-west of Naples.
Also the port, for connections to the islands and Sorrento, can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes.
For Vesuvius, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento-Amalfi Coast, Positano you can use the Circumvesuviana railway that can be reached by underground (2 stops from Montesanto or Piazza Dante to Piazza Garibaldi).
