Ancient and restored farmhouse, La Gamardie is spacious, 200 sq.m, and its garden with trees of 1000 sq.m and its large and private pool (10x5 m) are for your private use.

- 3 double bedrooms: 1 with a bed of 140 cm, one with 2 twin beds and another one with a bed of 160.

After reading the reviews we decided to take a punt and book the holiday. I’m so glad we did! All the reviews (good and bad) are spot on. The property is ‘rustic’. There are no frills but the layout of the house was perfect for 2 families and it is spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need. We all forgot towels and Lucie was at the door before I had even signed off.

Herrlicher Pool, schöne große Küche und Garten. Pool umzäunt, perfekt für einen Urlaub mit Hund. Tolle Umgebung für Spaziergänge mit Hund. Sehr nette Nachbarn. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Vielen lieben Dank an Lucie!

Super séjour !!!

Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances en famille et espérons y revenir! Je souligne particulièrement l’accueil et la disponibilité de la propriétaire. La piscine est très bien entretenue et nous en avons profité chaque jour. Les environs sont très beaux : jolis villages aux alentours dont Monpazier à 10 mn en voiture (commerçants très sympas!). Deux petits points à améliorer pour que tout soit parfait : les lumières extérieures (mais nous ne l avons pas signalé pendant le séjour car ce n était pas indispensable) et le salon qui nous a servi de chambre et qui gagnerait à être « rafraîchi ». Mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de nous sentir bien dans cette maison de famille qui est authentique et donc magnifique! Merci!!!

Parfait pour un week end entre amis

Maison avec beaucoup de charme. Ce n est pas tout neuf et c'est justement ce qui le rend particulier, dans le bon sens du terme. Espace de vie , terrasse agreable, piscine bien exposée. Assez isolé, avec pour voisin un producteur de fraise (sans pesticide). Isolé mais proche en voiture de plusieurs villages magnifiques. Le cadre et la vue sont tres agréables. Vallonnée et boisé. Et l hôte tres sympa. Je recommande vraiment.

Maison parfaite pour un séjour en famille. Bien situé. Maison propre a l'arrivée. De quoi jouer dehors et la piscine propre malgré le peu de baignade a cette époque. Le seul point négatif, il y a pas de chauffage. Quelque travaux a réaliser. Producteur de fraise de l'autre coté de la route. Super. Séjour agréable.

Calme et bien situé

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en famille avec deux jeunes enfants. Le « plus » réside dans le calme absolu de ce lieu un peu en dehors de tout qui assure une tranquillité complète dans un coin de nature où les oiseaux ne manquent pas, ni les chevreuils de passage… Un très joli coin Pergola bien exposé pour le repas dehors, appréciable. La piscine est grande et les propriétaires discrets mais réactifs ont veillé à l’entretien de celle-ci. Autre point fort, l’épaisseur des murs et l’espace de cette maison qui donne une vraie fraîcheur par ces temps de canicules. Pour le reste, le confort et l’équipement sont assez rudimentaires et quelques travaux de rafraichissements seraient à prévoir (l’escalier de l’étage pas très aux normes peut être dangereux pour de jeunes enfants, les poutres mériteraient sans doute un traitement car un peu « habitées », absence de wifi…) Les voisins sont adorables et sont venus nous apporter des fraises (que nous conseillons fortement de tester !), une attention sympathique…. Même si nous aurions bien aimé qu’elle vienne plutôt des propriétaires :-) Un petit gâteau aux noix ou un petit quelque chose de bienvenue aurait été en effet apprécié… ceci dit, à chaque question ou soucis, ils se sont montrés présents et réactifs (parasols amenés dès le lendemain pour compenser la disparition du grand arbre qui garantissait un peu d’ombre près de la piscine)...

Un cadre enchanteur pour les amoureux de la campagne et du terroir. Lucie a tout fait pour faciliter notre accueil dans sa maison typique de la région. Le séjour a été des plus confortable, et nous avons pu apprécier les petits déjeuners sur la terrasse ensoleillée, le barbecue et la piscine très bien entretenue. Une mention spéciale pour la ferme voisine où vous pourrez trouver des fraises fantastiques et de la viande de veau incroyable. Endroit à recommander pour les amoureux de la nature préservée.

Un havre de paix au confort minimales mais optimisé

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cette maison au confort plus qu'appréciable, vu l'âge de la bâtisse. Lucie a été très disponible et son sens de l'accueil est remarquable. La piscine est très agréable et sécurisée. Bref, tout est parfait pour ceux qui sont à la recherche d'une déconnexion complète du brouhaha de la ville. Pensez à aller faire un coucou à Ghislaine et Sébastien, les producteurs de fraises d'en face. Non seulement vous vous régalerez avec leurs fruits cueillis à la main mais en plus ils échangeront volontiers avec vous. Nous sommes incollables sur la culture des fraises maintenant ! Merci Lucie et à bientôt !

Lovely Lucie and her wonderful farmhouse

We had a really fabulous holiday. The house was very spacious and cool. The rear garden with covered bbq and seating area was most welcome and the pool, ping pong table and orchard at the front were great. The area was very interesting and Lucie was so very helpful. Fijn vakantiehuis!

Heerlijke plek voor een rustige vakantie. Fijn zwembad. Vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars, alles kan gevraagd worden. Prettig en ruim familie huis, iedereen heeft zijn eigen kamer. Ook fijne tuin voor honden. Mooie omgeving. Klein dorpje in de buurt, lekkere restaurantjes. Huis is enkel rolstoel toegankelijk voor de zeer ervaren gebruiker, om teleurstelling te voorkomen mag het huis mogelijk niet echt het predicaat rolstoel toegankelijk hebben, bijvoorbeeld het zwembad en de patio achter het huis zijn wel wat moeilijkerr te bereiken. De eigenaar is zeer behulpzaam en plaatste direct een drempel. Huis is niet super de luxe maar heeft alles voor een heerlijke vakantie. We hebben een hele fijne week gehad. Hartelijke dank voor de goede zorgen!

Beautiful old farmhouse

The house is deep in the countryside so no need to worry about the children making a noise. Our children loved diving and playing in the very clean pool and whilst one end is very deep this didn't cause us any issues (there is a shallow end with steps). The garden surrounding the pool is a great sun trap and the garden at the back (with the BBQ) is shadier - perfect in the evening. The house was extremely clean and if we ever needed anything Lucie was just a call away and very happy to help out. Thank you Lucie for a lovely holiday.

The farmhouse is very old and spacious but there are only 3 proper bedrooms and a mezzanine bed

We were surprised at hazardous holes in the vinyl flooring and lack of a dedicated lounge area. The kitchen was the most under equipped we have ever had. We had to buy a potato peeler, clothes pegs and a proper BBQ utensil. The kitchen was awkward to use and we had to move the stove to change the gas bottle, which was very difficult and could be dangerous. The pool was lovely but very deep. Everyone would be out of their depth in a 2.5 m pool. We had to watch the children, who could swim, because all the adults were out of their depth in most of the pool. It was lovely and clean and clear. The garden table was under such a thick creeper the sun could not penetrate in the morning and it was in deep shade in the evening. The space was always full of leaves and neighbouring dogs could get in and fouled the grass on several occasions. The washing line was adequate but the drying rack was missing a foot and didn't hold very much. We have been charged for a replacement microwave, it worked for us, but didn't switch off at the end of the cooking time. We had to open the door as soon as we heard the ping otherwise it just kept cooking. We found it in that condition and it was left as we found it.
