About this property

Beautiful 4 bedroom house that is part of a larger home. Beach views and garden

Stunning Grade II Listed 17th Century Rectory with spectacular sea views. Churchtown House is a true jewel on the southern Cornwall coast. An immaculately designed home surrounded by a walled garden with great furnishings and original features. The ground floor hosts a large kitchen, beautiful dining room and drawing room, shower room and laundry. A storybook staircase leads you to the first floor with the four bedrooms and two bathrooms. This home and view are one you will not forget.

This is a house with incredible history. The walk to the beach is a mere 5 minutes and the pub only a 1 minute walk away! Churchtown House has a magnificent energy and will feel like a home away from home. Recently renovated with much loving care, you will be surrounded with comfort, stunning artwork and premium fixtures. Two open fires give a very cosy feel to the winters and the gardens allow for relaxing and great play areas for kids in the spring and summer. The Patio area has the perfect view of the sea for those early morning coffees and afternoon teas.

The house has been completely refurbished, being sympathetic to original features. All done to preserve the life and history of the house.

Bedroom 1 has a vaulted ceiling, 2 dressing alcoves, floor to ceiling window with view to the sea and super-king bed.

Bedroom 2 has a lovely double bed, unique decor and a cosy reading area with a view to another floor to ceiling window and view to the gardens, village and sea.

Bedroom 3 has a beautiful King size bed with views across the village to the beach and sea.

Bedroom 4 has two single beds, lovely graphic artwork and a view across the village to the beach, sea and hillside.

The bathrooms are all modernised with beautifully tiles showers and the master bathroom has a bath tub that you may never want to get out of. The bath has a view to the sea.

The Drawing Room and Dining room both have fireplaces and are very warm and welcoming. Both have floor to ceiling windows with a view to the garden.

The Kitchen has everything and more for your cooking pleasure. It's the perfect family kitchen with a old farm table and plenty of space for everyone to join in.

The house has a wisteria plant that weaves it's way across the facade creating a dramatic line to the house.

With a walled garden, kids can run free and there's plenty of space for a game of football, croquet or any other lawn game.

The patio has the perfect view of the sea and an apple tree provides shelter on the sunnier days.

Churchtown House is a luxurious house that feels like home. There are games for the family, movies and books to make your stay all that you need it to be - restful and recuperative!

Perfect family getaway.
ChurchTown House was perfect for our family holiday with our girls and their husbands. The house is beautiful and full of character. Perranuthnoe is a beautiful Cornish village and even though we were away during the height of summer, it never felt busy. There are so many things to see and do nearby as well as some simply stunning beaches. So, overall it was perfect and exactly as described and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

A beautiful house perfect for a special family holiday
We couldn't be happier with Churchtown House, it was exactly as described in the listing (better, in fact!) Kathleen was really helpful to speak to prior to our stay. When we arrived it was easy to access the house and we were blown away by how beautiful it was. This was a family reunion postponed since before Covid and we couldn't have picked a more perfect property to stay in. The rooms were clean and spacious, the kitchen was excellent for preparing meals for 9 people. The garden is quite simply magical with the occasional sound of the church bells next door. The views from every room were breathtaking and the house itself is stunning. We also really enjoyed walking down to Perranuthnoe beach, with the lovely community feel - homemade fudge and homegrown potatoes available en route! The beach was very peaceful and fun for the children with all the little rock pools. The only thing we would have changed is to stay an extra week! We would love to come back and stay here again. Thank you so much Kathleen for hiring your beautiful home for our family reunion.

Perranuthnoe Beauty
This was a lovely house in which to reconnect with family. Six adults and three children. Beautifully appointed and well located. Loved the pub, the beach and the little cafes. Wonderful coastal walks! I would definitely recommend this special area of Cornwall!

Fantastic long weekend
The house more than made up for the miserable weather over the long weekend we stayed in Perranuthnoe. Kathleen was very helpful and the instructions were clear and accurate. The photos represent the house well and I would definitely recommend staying here - if we decide to visit the area again we will be sure to do so again ourselves! Thank you!
