About this property
House, St Rome de Cernon
Hamlet grouping of attached 17th century hill-top stone houses with private infinity pool built into the rocky terrain. Sleeps up to 6 adults. Situated in the southern Averon, mintues from Norman Foster's Millau bridge and the caves of Roquefort, in a spectacular setting.
At the summit of a rocky outcrop, south facing with no immediate neighbours, this is the epitome of complete calm and relaxation.
Minutes away is the land of the Knights Templar, the Larzac plains and numerous paragliding sites.
The Aveyron is a land of rivers, gorges, plains, historical sites and abundant greenery. The goats feed on the scrublands and provide the milk that goes into the local production of Roquefort
It is also a region rich in history, both of man and culture: walled Knights Templar villages, local produce farmers' markets, seasonal village fetes and local produce.
The house is perfectly situated in idyllic atmosphere adjacent to a hilltop hamlet that overlooks the Cernon valley. The accommodation respects the charm of the house's past while providing all modern comforts.
The English-influenced gardens with their abundant flowers, the infinity pool, the multiple secluded shaded patios with stunning sunset views combine to create a visit you won't soon forget.
Shops: Saint Rome de Cernon (2 miles) : deli, bakery
Supermarkets, Post Office, Restaurants: Saint-Affrique (7 miles) or Millau (13 miles).
