Fabulous Rural Farm Holiday Cottage near Drymen, Loch Lomond.

Fantastic 4 Bedroom holiday cottage with magnificent views of the Campsie Hills, a stones throw away from Loch Lomond as well as being in Loch Lomond. As well as being in Loch Lomond & Trossachs National park, the cottage is also a 30 minute drive from both Glasgow and Stirling. An ideal location for exploring Central Scotland.
Our cottage is situated right on a Beef, Sheep, Pig and Poultry Farm with lots going on all year round. There is a large garden with chickens for fresh free range eggs daily.

The Cottage is a place full of charm, not only because of how cozy it is and the spaciousness it offers, but also because of the wonderful views over the meadows, where you can see different animals from the local farms. It was a stay that I would happily repeat.

Enjoyed our stay but a few things need improving

The cottage is located just over a mile from the A811 to Drymen. Be careful at the junction a road mirror for exiting would be useful, and is about 2 miles from Drymen which is a lovely village with good places to eat and drink. During July and August a pipe band plays on the village green on a Thursday evening. The cottage is surrounded by fields containing free range chickens and pigs and there was a small hen house in the cottage garden. Sadly during our visit the hens were on go slow and we only got four eggs. The cottage was clean and tidy but would benefit from some upgrading to the bathroom facilities. Likewise in our opinion the twin beds were very uncomfortable and should be replaced and the downstairs double bed according to other guests was very small. These little niggles did not hinder our stay, but it’s a pity because with some TLC it could be wonderful.

Sorry that you were disappointed with your stay. We do wish that you had highlighted any issues with us whilst you were with us and we could have perhaps tried to rectify or explain. We were just next door. The hens sometimes go on a go slow but we are always happy to supplement any short fall. We are aware that our bathrooms are requiring an update which will happen in the coming years. Last year we replaced most of the windows and had to rewire the cottage. We try to do something every year. Beds are personal taste, our mattresses are fairly new and the downstairs double is a full sized double as opposed to a Kingsize which is clearly stated on the booking site.
