To ensure privacy for its guests there is only one cottage on this large Equestrian Property situated in idyllic and very quiet surroundings close to Gembrook. This comfortable, self contained accommodation is located in the lush green Hills of the Dandenongs east of Melbourne.
The Orchard Cottage is situated in idyllic and (very) quiet surroundings close to Gembrook. There are views over the orchard (hence the name), the forest and the paddocks. The Yarra Valley Wineries and the Dandenong Ranges attractions just add to the package for a restful holiday.

Hideaway

Serenity and peace with birds as your dj. Brilliant All items was provided nothing was left out, if you wanted to cook etc. Ill be going back soon

Peace and quiet

Walter was a helpful host. The Orchard Cottage is an authentic rustic cottage within a very tranquil rural/bush setting making it the ideal place for a very peaceful break, great for bird watching and we saw lots of Kookaburras which was lovely. Seeing the horses was also a great treat. Along with the other amenities the cottage was equipped with lovely hot water, electric blankets and the cold water was delicious.

Best sleep ever

My partner had the best sleep of his life. Everything was well-equipped. We were there in the middle of winter, and it was freezing, but the fire was warm. A visit from two king parrots was a good highlight. Thanks for letting us stay.

Country charm and tranquility

Orchard cottage is a cosy, comfortable 1BR cottage in a lovely peaceful bush setting near Gembrook. The facilities are excellent with a very well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The front deck looks over pretty views of the orchard and farmland hills, and is great for al fresco meals. I loved the extremely quiet location - no sound of cars or dogs the whole time I was there - and had a very enjoyable stay.

This property has a magnificent location. It has been improved over the years and the cottage built as a way to share the magnificent rural landscape with guests. Much of the property has a conservation covenant placed on it and is part of the Land for Wildlife scheme

Quiet rural location easily accessed via sealed roads from the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Great food in nearby Gembrook and great walks just out the front of the property
