Situated on 35 ha of rolling hills, the heritage-style cottage enjoys stunning, unimpeded views of hundred-year-old gum trees.
COMBUSTION HEATER AND FIRE PIT
During winter you can curl up in front of the combustion heater and read a book, or toast marshmallows around the fire pit, outdoors.
In all weather, the beautiful property has something to offer. Enjoy meandering walks through the trees and heritage-listed land, or let the kids run free, and the dogs off-leash to romp on the grassy slope.
Provisions for a cooked breakfast are provided (local bacon, free-range eggs, bread, tomatoes, butter and oil) and can be eaten in the dedicated breakfast parlour. Alternatively, you can walk through the French doors onto the back slated courtyard and enjoy more lovely vistas of trees and paddocks from the table and chairs by the secure (yet discreet) dog run.
The charming, character master bedroom with its white-washed walls and Edwardian dressing table has a queen-sized bed with Posturpedic mattress. The view through the window overlooks a swathe of gum trees.
The second bedroom has two singles and overlooks the front verandah. (Some couples like to put their children to bed before retiring around an open fire a few metres down the slope beneath the gum trees. Childish cries can easily be heard while parents can enjoy some outdoors respite.)
No other building or road blocks the country views in all directions.
COSY COMFORT
Linen and electric blankets are provided while a pot belly stove and reverse cycle air-conditioning keep the slate-floored sitting room comfortable, year-round.
Foxtel provides inside entertainment while outdoors, guests can enjoy a bonfire in the fire pit between the cottage and the creek bed. There's also a gas BBQ in the back courtyard which doubles as a dog enclosure and eating area.
Dogs love it and birdlife is plentiful, including a variety of parrots, and kangaroos are seen most days.
Restaurants, wineries and an 18-hole golf course are easily accessible. Clare township offers good shopping facilities while the Clare Valley is noted for its fine wines, excellent wineries, scenic drives and the beauty of its trees and rolling hills. The area has an unspoilt rural charm about it.
For the cyclist or walking trail enthusiast, the popular Riesling Trail follows the old train line between Clare and Auburn (22km). The trail passes close to wineries, restaurants and scenic spots. It is sign posted and the full trail does not have to be negotiated.
*Please note: Your nightly rate covers 2 guests in one room. Want separate rooms (or more bedrooms made up)? It’s a single flat fee of $50 per for the second room prepared to cover linen and housekeeping.

An amazing property tucked away, in what felt like in the middle of nowhere, though only 10 minutes to the centre of Clare. Cottage has been beautifully maintained and authentic to its period. Comfortable beds and all necessary appliances etc. Would definitely stay there again.
Absolutely loved it cottage was very clean and comfortable Host was very nice and friendly Location is perfect for those who want peace and quiet With Clare just a short drive for dining Couldn’t fault it
We had a very nice time thank you, including our Aussie Terrier, Ruby. Tanika was very welcoming & most helpful in attending to our queries & in topping up our breakfast goodies etc. It was lovely to be back in the Clare Valley/Burra region & we’ll definitely return as soon as possible. Cheers, D, J & Ms Ruby (our dog)
My sister and I and her little dog stayed in Glen Morris cottage for four days. It was a rustic mud brick cottage in beautiful surrounds and and was very clean with comfortable beds. Great breakfast provisions and friendly welcome from owner. Five minutes drive away from Clare and all that the Valley offers.
This was such a treat. A little winter hide away to taste Clares best food and fine wine whilst tucked away in a country cabin 5mins from all amenities. Loved it!
It is so cute and peaceful, beautiful setting and fabulous views. Gorgeously appointed property. No phone reception but not a big issue

Nice and cozy cottage for two and furry one. A sweep of the rug in front of the TV to remove dog hair would not go astray. Will defiantly return in the future.

A lovely cottage for a relaxing stay away from the "hustle and bustle" of close to the township
A lovely cottage, ideal for 2 people only plus a pet.We toured the wineries and pubs every day for lunch and sat by the fire at night for a snack for dinner. No wifi available and only channel 2 on the free to air TV, however we were happy to read our books.A handrail in the shower and toilet would be handy for elderly people (both of us).The surroundings (gum tress and kangaroos) were lovelyRichard and Jan and our dog Moet
