One of the most sort after locations on the lake, ideal escape as a couple or bring friends. Open fire in winter, three queen bed rooms, spa bath, water views, works by local artists, a breakfast deck overlooking the lake, two bathrooms, sunny reading room, airconditioning and ducted heating.

Across the water from award-winning Lake House Restaurant, up the street from the Boat House and over the road for the Goldfields Walking Track - Lake Daylesford from the bottom of our garden is our playground and all just a few steps away.

Simply beautiful

This is the second time we have stayed, and it has been heaven both times! Breakfast in the sun overlooking the lake, an easy walk to shops and food and nature everywhere! We feel relaxed and recharged. Thanks to Rodney and Denise for being wonderful hosts.

Short Break in Daylesford

Property location was just what we needed. The house is very well equipped and Rodney was very quick to respond to any queries. It was a lovely touch to have personalised welcome information, and freshly cut flowers. The cottage is really like a home away from home, and I would most certainly stay again.

Perfect In Every Way !

We loved being woken up by the Kookaburras. Certainly preferable to the hum of the freeway !! The dogs loved the back garden, the lake walks and sleeping by the fire at night. We loved the comfy beds, great kitchen, open fire and heating throughout. A lovely comfy and clean getaway, close to everything. We would certainly love to come back some time.

Beautiful house and location

What a gorgeous house and setting to take a short break and relax. I took my 2 teenage nieces and 2 dogs on a holiday's to this house for 4 days. It was fantastic with 3 large and comfortable bedrooms for us all. The house was well equipped with all the things needed; including DVDs, books and board games. It was great having 2 lounge areas with the girls and they enjoyed what the house offered including the spa bath. Best of all was the outdoor deck and balcony overlooking the lake. We ate all of our meals out there and I often sat there with the dogs in the evenings. The back yard was secure for my dogs which was my main priority and they enjoyed sitting up on the balcony watching the ducks and geese along with the people walking by. I would certainly visit again and recommend it. Beautiful Daylesford and surrounds are varied and interesting.

Home away from home

I have been visiting Lake Daylesford Cottage for over a decade and hopefully will continue to visit for years to come. The cottage is warm and cosy with beautiful views of the lake and dog walkers. Communication with Rodney is always great. Perfect location that feels like a home away from home.

Idyllic stay on the lake with friends

We had a lovely three days of fun and laughter with a group of school friends who have known each other for over 50 years. The cottage provided all of the living areas and relaxation spaces three couples would need as well as the bedrooms and bathrooms were adequate for the six of us, very pleasant and homely environment.

Relaxing Weekend Away

The property was perfectly located on Lake Daylesford with access to the walking track from a gate in the backyard. Lazy afternoons were spent reading on the deck overlooking the lake.Everything about this cottage was cozy. The hosts kindly made some suggestions of where to eat, drink and visit. This was the perfect mid-week break to relax and unwind after the Christmas festivities.

Perfect, Tranquil Location

This is a great property if you're looking for easy access to the Daylesford Lake and its surrounds. The interior is very comfortable and clean and has most amenities. It's perfect for a family with a dog as the large, secure backyard keads straight to the lake with a variety of walking options. Theres even a sweet cafe just down the road where you can eat or grab a coffee to sit by the lake. Its only a short drive from the main shopping precinct, too. The hosts are very obliging and are good communicatirs. We would definitely love to return for a peaceful getaway. sesecure backyard

This house is a home away from home with the most wonderful views of the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the deck every day taking in the vista. Loved the direct access to the walking path. Rodney and Denise are always so helpful (this was our second stay), leaving tips for dog-friendly places to eat and to visit. The house is very well-equipped.

Getaway with Sisters

Rodney and Denise are excellent hosts. Their home is very welcoming ,charming and was perfect for our getaway. The views from the home both inside and out on the deck were gorgeous. There are multiple levels with little nooks to settle in with a good book with beautiful views. The home was full of character and had everything we needed. Heating was available both by ducted gas or you can have an open fire. Beautiful walks are available at the back door around the lake. We would definitely go back again . Thank you Rodney and Denise.

Fantastic cottage

Right on the lake and not too far from town. Cottage has everything you could ask for. Owners are close by and so very helpful with tips for cafes and restaurants etc. Loved my stay the first time and didn't hesitate to book it again. Thank you, Rodney and Denise, for a wonderful stay.

Our village is stylish, vibrant and welcoming - I love golf at Hepburn Springs and my wife Denise gets creative as floral stylist to Lake House.
