Renovated large 4 bedroom 1900 sq. ft home in Brandon Fl with an outdoor 6ft deep heated pool and screened-in Lanai, includes a 8 ft billiards table, high speed internet, Smart TVs with apps Netflix, youtube., etc. Washer and Dryer. Very quiet neighborhood with no rear neighbors. Close proximity to shopping and popular food chains. Located 20 miles from Tampa airport, 25 minutes to downtown Tampa, 45 mins from Clearwater/St. Pete beach and one hour from Disney world. Easy access to the Florida turnpike to head south to Miami. All pets must be pre-approved before booking, fees apply. No events/gatherings/parties at this time due to Covid-19.

Not exactly what we expected....

The homeowner was super responsive and helpful in the booking process and when we needed batteries for the fan remotes during our stay! We were very pleased that linens were included and the check-in / check-out process was so easy. The kids also enjoyed the heated pool. The home was a bit more run down than expected. Bring your pillows from home because there is only one per bed and they are very flat. The kitchen had plenty of dishes for our big family, but I did need to wash everything before we used it. There are minimal pots for cooking and some basics (for me) were missing (e.g. No baking sheets or spatulas). We also experienced a leak in the hall shower (got pretty bad after several ppl needed to shower). The master bath has no door (open concept) so my husband woke me several times a night turning on the light. And, there's no exhaust fans so the room became damp when that shower was used. Last, but certainly not least, we also dealt with a rodent (a rat we think) in one of the bedrooms the last two nights.

Accurate description and fair for the cost

Overall the property was fine. Some areas need updating but no major issues. One pool cue was splintered prior to our arrival and I am not sure the bed sheets had been cleaned (they had a funk to them) but we washed them and they were fine. Master bedroom could use a door by the toilet however. Fair value for the money.

Needs some improvements

The communication was great very kind property owner very nice home. We did have a great time but would just like to share some important facts for those renting. The home is very beautiful and has the potential to be just as pictured, unfortunately it is not very well kept. The paint in the kitchen is poorly done and makes it look very run down you will not have access to cabinets as they are bolted shut. The house was very messy we had to sweep and mop when we arrived as the floors were sticky and had lots of debris. The toilet brush was disgusting I purchased a new one and left it there. Food was left behind in both the fridge and freezer which were not removed. Pool was very dirty while we dis not use because of the cold weather had it been warm it was too dirty to use. The counter in kitchen was peeling, ceiling fan didn’t work, pool table has a broken pocket making it difficult to play as balls just fall thru. Spider webs on fireplace and lamps. There was a very weird smell throughout the entire house specifically in the bathrooms. The dining chairs were very wobbly and the outdoor furniture as well. Again the place has great potential maybe just need better maintenance or cleaning crew as these things I mentioned amongst many other would just make the place look and feel much more enjoyable. It was the holidays we made the best of it as we were mostly away from the home but had it been a different time where we could find something else last minute my family and I would not have stayed.
