Hervey Bay is a large tourist destination attracting many people from not only Australia wide but overseas as well. At the time of your stay it was also during the school holiday period with the bulk of accommodation completely booked out. It is unfortunate that you experienced some drunken behavior during your stay.
Our renovation works are taking longer than anticipated with the contractors agreeing to finish earlier to try and ease any frustration to our guests. We hope you appreciated your up grade to a much larger apartment than the one you booked and we look forward to seeing you again and hope that your next stay will be much more enjoyable.
Overall this was a perfectly positioned private large unit with the beach a stone throw away and delishious cafes close by.The unit had a spacious open plan kitchen and lounge and well sized rooms. However the TV was still in store mode and turned off every 10 minuets, the fridge was constantly beeping day and night and the main bed was very hard and uncomfortable.. We sid enjoy having a piza night with other family staying close by and there was enough space at the table for games night . Overall i would recommend booking this unit if you are after beach getaway as a family of 4 with young kids.

Thank you for your feedback and bringing to our attention about the TV & Fridge. We are endeavoring to have these glitches attended to. We are pleased you still enjoyed your stay and hope to see you back again.
Place was nice. There was no welcome book to tell you what is around or t/away menus for ideas. No WiFi code and we had to log into our own Netflix (not a big deal but a pain to log out!)
Overall a great location, walking to restaurants and shops is easy, beautiful beach and park lands. Place had the bare essentials, no extras. Would make a great base to go and out and enjoy from.
Apt was very clean and spacious. Would be better if there's an exhaust fan in the bathroom. It was very steamy when we all had showers after each other.
This beautiful apartment was extremely well kitted out with everything you need. The lift was so useful for us oldies. Shops & restaurants all on the doorstep & bus stop across the road. Would certainly recommend this property.

Spacious Beachside Apartment
We stayed in unit 5, it was more spacious than your typical 2 bedroom holiday apartment and had nice high ceilings. The apartment was modern, clean and well appointed and accurately represented online. Furnishings were clean and modern. It was a pity it wasn't built with a balcony but did have large wide-open windows at the entry to let in the sea breeze. Across the road and a few meters down from the beach, playground and pier, extremely close to cafes, restaurants, takeaway, coffee and convenience store.
After hours check-in was a little confusing (I was a little tired which didn't help) we picked up the keys from the keybox but didn't realise the apartment was in the same building as the real estate agent as it is not signed Baiavista Apartments, iPhone Maps took us someplace else before we put two and two together. The entry is via a door marked Fire Exit (or something along those lines) and car parking is behind a locked grill door underneath the building. All in all no big deal and most people are probably arriving in daylight hours.
Hervey Bay put on a beautifully warm weekend after a cold winter!

I booked an apartment no5 in Baivista Hervey bay for the Xmas period. Xmas day - departing on 2 Jan
I booked an apartment no5 in Baivista Hervey bay for the Xmas period. Xmas day - departing on 2 Jan 2011. My mother in law fell very ill suddenly and we were unable to go there. I cancelled on 24 November - one month prior but was told by Raine and Horne that I was unable to have any of my $285.00 deposit refunded unless they were able to find someone else to rent it for the same period.
Could you let me know if this is standard practice?? On your website it shows the apartment in normally $133.00 a night...so this is equivalent to 3 nights! seems a bit steep and I have no way of verifying whether they did in fact find someone else to rent it.Except for teh calendar on your site...which shows it was rented for 6 of teh nights we had proposed to rent it??? who can you trust???
Thanks
