Going to Cape Cod? Stay here!!!

This place was just outstanding. Clean, comfortable, well-stocked kitchen, washer/dryer and location/location/location!! Its in a very remote area where you basically have no neighbors to speak of, yet is perfectly located for exploring the Cape Cod area. We spent a day exploring Newport, another Plymouth as well as driving out to Provincetown/tip of the Cape. All are easy day trips. Host was communicative and very accommodating. Only downside ...& this really is picking a pretty fine nit... is there's only one bathroom. In our case it was just the two of us so that was no big deal. But the place comfortably sleeps six so if you've got the full brood coming you'll have to plan out shower times, etc.

Easy and pleasant

We were in the area to visit with family. The location was perfect and this home had everything we needed. Communication with the host was also easy and they went out of their way to meet our needs. Will stay again!

Relaxing Getaway

We enjoyed our stay here for many reasons. It is a quiet area, with a great deck and porch, and even a view of the river! The home was well stocked and comfortable. It is also a good location to use as a home base for touring the area. A day out on Cape Cod, a day to Plymouth and a day to New Bedford were all easy trips. We would recommend it for sure!

Location was good. The beds were not so comfortable, and the kitchen should have included more cooking ingredients; spices, pam, olive oil, etc. Overall, we were satisfied.

Loved it!

Such a cozy little home in a safe, beautiful and quiet neighborhood. The house was immaculate and had all of the amenities we needed. Plenty of cookware in the kitchen, towels, etc. Debbie thought of everything someone would need, which I appreciate. We loved having our breakfast on the deck in the morning. It was a good location for all the places we wanted to visit, and plenty of stores close by if you need anything. I'm hoping we can stay here again next time we're in the area.

Nice home for a comfortable stay

The house is spacious and equipped with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. It is a bit rustic, but fully functional. The area is nice, a friendly and quiet neighborhood.

Feels like home

Great home in a wonderful location! Home was well equipped with everything we could possibly have needed. Fairly close to many attractions. Beautiful, quiet place to relax in the evening. Great fishing trip!

Debbie's house was perfect! She was so responsive and hospitable. I can't overstate how wonderful our interactions were with her. The house was exactly what we wanted and needed for this trip. It was close to everything, fully stocked and in a great quiet area. We spent a lot of quiet mornings and dinners on the deck under the gazebos. We would definitely stay here again!

Home Away from Home

We stayed for a few days in early May. We enjoyed our stay very much. Nice, quiet location, water views, trees, birds and even a fox spotted one day. The house was very neat and clean, everything we needed was there. Convenient location to visit Plymouth, explore Cape Cod. And a trip to Fall River to Battleship Cove was very interesting. We hope to stay there again in the future.

Wareham Winner.

We loved this place (three women). The location was perfect. We were able to visit so many great little towns and villages. There were plenty of fun restaurants and shops, all within short driving distances. Debbie and John were delightful and quick to respond to a small maintenance concern. If I were to visit the area again, I would certainly come back to this Wareham Winner.

Great location between Boston and Cape Cod

Thank you for an amazing place for us to stay with our family. Plenty of hot water and comfy beds and lots of seating in the living room for our family of 6! Able to cook a couple meals and had plenty of room in the fridge for water and groceries. Great communication with the owner, too! Only thing I would recommend is having some nonstick spray on hand for cooking. (Thankfully there was grill spray I could use in a pinch.)

Very Convenient Place!

This house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our 4 nights stay with our 4 kids (ages 1, 2, 4, & 5). Portacrib and a safety gate was available, as well as necessary toiletries: shampoo, bodywash, etc. I was very appreciative of the generous supplies available (paper towels, kitchen and bath towels, face tissues, etc.). I am very grateful for the available washer and dryer which we used to do our small load of laundry so that we had more time to rest after we traveled home instead of having to wash beach clothes, etc. In a nutshell, this place was very thoughtfully laid out for visitors! In terms of sight seeing, we did have to travel lengthy trips to reach the main Cape Cod areas. I expected this but ultimately chose this place for its affordability. In retrospect, with the price of gas to drive back and forth, it may have worked out to be the same if we had stayed at a more expensive place that was closer to the Cape Cod attractions. To Chatham (Candy Manor address): 53 miles To Woods Hole Terminal: 33 miles To Hyannis (Baxter's Fish & Chips) 33 miles One recommendation if you stay in the area with young kids: DO visit Onset Beach!! which is about 9 miles from this house. It's absolutely family friendly with calm water for kids, and doesn't get deep quickly! For us, this was worth our stay in West Wareham! Debbie was kind to offer shipping us an item we left behind (I refused so as to not bother her). A very pleasant stay!

Comfortable, great location, family-friendly...

Pros: - Excellent location. Quiet & private. Close to several beaches. Short drive to Onset and the Cape. - Nice kitchen with all the appliances you could need - The grill was a nice touch - The owners are very friendly and respectful. Genuinely nice people. - They do not mind if you invite your friends, have overnight guests or if your group has more than 7 people. You should know that if you do bring more than seven people, your stay might not be as comfortable. Of course, you should be mindful of the neighbors, even though the houses on the street are not that close together. It's a quiet neighborhood. However, we stayed out on the porch late at night, laughing and chatting loudly and did not receive any complaints. The location on the dead-end street turned out to be one of my favorite things about this property. - Plenty of new towels/linens - DVD player. We recommend that you bring movies as there is only basic cable. - Large porch. Nice place to relax & eat barbecue - Washing Machine & dryer! Really comes in handy. - Spacious lawn. Another place to hang out, tan, play sports, etc. - Very close to mall. Also close to supermarket & Target. - Close to a water park. Didn't go but it looks fun. Great for the kids. Cons: - AC in the bedroom wasn't as efficient as we would have liked. - Only two ACs: one in the bedroom with the twin beds and one in the living room. Not a problem if you don't intend to spend much of your time indoors but the house does get very stuffy. We recommend that you leave the glass door, bedroom doors & windows open OR have both ACs on with the bedroom doors open. - Windows are old. Difficult to open & close. - The bathroom is small. Normally, I wouldn't mind this but we were staying with a larger group so there was a lot of waiting to use it and it became messy quickly. This is not really a complaint but it's something to bear in mind if you plan on coming with a large group. Other: - Bring A GREAT DEAL of insect repellent spray and candles! I can't stress this enough. There are SO many mosquitoes and moths but that's to be expected in a heavily wooded area like this one. VERDICT: We RECOMMEND this place! You can't beat this location! You'll have plenty to do if you stay here. The home is cozy and great for families (suitable for young children and elderly relatives). You get excellent customer service and privacy. We will probably come back in the near future!
