About this property

Relax under the trees in a hidden area of San Diego

This is a guest house next to our house in equestrian Bonita, a community to the south of downtown San Diego. Your casita is within 15 minutes from the airport with nearby freeway access to allow you to get to most places within 20 minutes or less. the property is gated, with plenty of parking and you will be able to come and go directly into your own room. The location easily accesses downtown San Diego, Sea World, Coronado, the naval bases, beach areas, the San Diego Zoo, North Island Credit Union Ampitheater, Sesame Place and Tijuana. The ocean breezes refresh the area. Las Palmas Casita is a terrific home base while visiting San Diego and is also a refuge in the middle of the city, although some of our guests prefer to stay here poolside, away from crowds.
We are a family with 3 of our 7 grown children at home. You will see us in the yard and out by the pool and we will treat you as our welcome guests. You may also enjoy our dogs and the assortment of chickens which we keep. The casita and our house are situated on 2 1/2 acres full of trees and birds. The room is furnished with a king sized bed, a bathroom, a kitchen, and it’s own entrance and parking.
We look forward to making your stay in San Diego county a pleasant one. Please be aware that, if you are looking for a romantic place for two and don’t want to see or interact with your hosts, this isn’t what you are looking for. The casita is private for our guests, but we will be at the property. We enjoy meeting our guests and would also like to enter the swimming pool on a hot day. If you have any questions, please send an “inquiry” through the VRBO application. We would be glad to hear from you and usually respond the same day.

Jennie was awesome. made us feel right at home. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The dogs on the property greet you with their toys and are well behaved.

Exceptional environment and hospitality services

A hidden gem of tranquility in an urban setting. Jenny and her entire family were very accommodating and welcoming, not to mention generous with access to additional amenities. Worth every penny and perfectly located to my family’s location. Would recommend for a couple or family of 3 comfortably with air mattress they would provide. I will book again if available on my next visit. Thank you to the Sanchez family for an exceptional experience.

We would give this 10 stars, if possible. Very comfortable, both the casita and the grounds. Loved Jenny, our host, she is the best! It was fun having the chickens there, fresh eggs every morning, and roaming the property. Best of all, the dogs, especially Kizzy, who adopted us, stood watch outside our room whenever we were there, and followed us everywhere. We really felt like we had our own dog for a week! Can't wait to return, we miss it and Kizzy already!The property is only a mile from the village of Bonita, which has a great supermarket (Vons) and lots of restaurants. A great exercise path circles the municipal golf course there. When we return to the SD area, we will definitely stay at this property. It is close to everything in the San Diego area.

This is an amazing property with a very friendly host. It is quiet and secluded in the middle of the city and has a country vibe to it. I can’t wait to visit and stay her e again.

We had a great experience staying at the Casita. Jennifer and family are terrific hosts and made our stay very comfortable. The property is amazing and our toddler loved the dogs, chickens, and pool. I would absolutely recommend this stay.

The casita was perfect for our stay. Nice pool, lovely grounds, fresh eggs and lemons and limes. A fresh lime off the tree for my Modelo was wonderful. Both human and canine hosts were lovely. Bonita is also a nice area with a canyon chic vibe

Beautiful Oasis

This property is beautiful. It is quiet and was a great place to stay. Very convenient to all the highways. The host is available for all your needs. This was our first VRBO experience and we definitely will go this route again. I hope when we can visit San Diego again this is available .

very nice host family makes you feel welcome on a really sweet little compound (casita, pool, hot tub, grounds). all creature comforts are present and easy location makes it a good HQ for a san diego stay.
