Welcome to The Glyn Newydd Homestead & Cottage overlooking the breathtaking Megalong Valley boasting the best escarpment views in the valley
Set on a peaceful 40-acre property, the accommodation is surrounded by an organic olive grove, open green paddocks with horses, and abundant Australian wildlife. You will enjoy the full privacy and tranquility of the two houses, while you are only 15 minutes from Blackheath and around 2.5 hours from Sydney.


Wake up to the sunrise over the valley, spot kangaroos grazing in the early morning mist, or unwind in the evening with a glass of wine as the escarpment glows orange and red at sunset.
Glyn Newydd is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
The Olive Grove. Glyn Newydd has a producing organic olive grove with different varieties. We produce olive oil (Leccino and Frantoio), table olives (Kalamata, Manzanillo, and Picholine. A selection of our produce is usually available to purchase at the Homestead using a simple honesty box system.

Explore & Experience
For the more adventurous, you can wander the property, meet the horses and walk your dog—we are pet-friendly! The Megalong Valley also offers a number of beautiful bush walks (including the well known six foot track).
The valley also has two wineries (with cellar door sales and food), the famous Megalong tea rooms (great breakfast and lunch) and a fine dining restaurant ("Lot 101")


Glyn Newydd ROOM ARRANGEMENTS.
You will have access to both houses, (right next to each other) providing you with plenty of sleeping arrangements, two kitchens, two living & dining rooms and more.

The Homestead offers three large Bedrooms. The large main bedroom offers a queen bed and ensuite including shower and toilet. The other bedrooms include one queen sized bed and two single beds. Ducted air-conditioning & heating and a cosy fireplace for winter warmth. Thick sandstone-style walls and a wrap-around verandah that keep the house naturally cool in summer

The Cottage offers two large double bedrooms. The large main bedroom offers a kingsize bed and ensuite including shower and toilet. The second bedroom offers two single beds and an ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower.

BBQ:
Take in the sweeping valley views from the homestead verandah, while you fry up a gourmet farm breakfast on the gas-Weber BBQ.


Dogs:
We are pet friendly, your dog can have a holiday too!!
But take care around our horses, they will not tolerate dogs chasing them, so best to keep your dog on the lead near them. And the local wildlife will also need to be protected from chasing dogs, it is the owners responsibility to control their pets .
