Lawson's Cottage in South Geelong

Lawson's Cottage is a luxurious, self contained cottage, located in the heart of Geelong with a 4 1/2 star rating. With every stay, we provide you with full breakfast provisions including bacon, eggs, yoghurt, seasonal fruit, cereal and much more.

With easy access to Eastern Beach and only minutes from the CBD, South Geelong train station, the Barwon River, Landy Field and Simmonds Stadium, home to the Geelong Cats AFL team, Lawson's Cottage is the perfect location to stay while visiting Geelong.

Our self contained home has 2 well appointed bedrooms with luxurious cotton sheets, electric blankets (for those cold winter nights) with the Master room having its own television.

The Master room has a Queen size bed with a Double and Single bed in the Second bedroom. We can provide on request a port-a-cot if required. (Bedding is supplied for the extra beds)



Modern Features

Renovated in 1920's style with all the benefits of modern day living.

Our fully equipped kitchen includes a gas cooktop, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave oven. Quality utensils and crockery are included - perfect for home entertaining. Alongside the kitchen is our European laundry with Miele washer and dryer.

Step back in time with our deep clawfoot bath, great for relaxing. Our dual shower has two separate heads, ideal for sharing. BUT the best thing about our bathroom is the under floor heating, no cold feet in winter.

Relax in the evening with a glass of port and chocolates (provided for you) in front of our Gas Fire place. On the wall we have a 37 inch Digital TV - enjoy a movie from our extensive DVD collection.

TV not for you... please make use of our swap library. Bring a book from home and swap with one from our collection. Finish what you started while on holidays with us at Lawson's Cottage.


Summer Living

Lawson's Cottage has a charming outdoor deck and entertainment area that is beautifully landscaped. Enjoy an afternoon wine, while your steak is grilling on the BBQ in complete privacy.

The cottage consists of two reverse cycle air conditioners for your comfort.

Gorgeous and sparkling cottage

Gorgeous period cottage well modernised with all you need, spotlessly clean, with a cute back yard and nice sitting area. Host provided really nice touches including breakfast. Some train noise in the distance, close to football stadium and an easy walk into town

Great getaway

House is as advertised. Great central location, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and other provisions a lovely and welcome touch. Great to have access to Netflix. We would stay again.

The place is amazing. It is handy if you want to see the geelong cats play, just around the corner is the train station. Also not far from the water front. The owner is easy and fast to get into contact with and nothing was a.problem. love staying here and would go there again

Comfortable and cosy cottage

Beautifully and tastefully renovated and decorated, this property is outstanding. The hosts have not spared anything in their desire to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It is within walking distance of the CBD and in close proximity to coffee shops. Highly recommended. You will feel warmly welcomed and at home in this beautiful cottage.

Go Cats!

We had a fabulous two night stay in this superb cottage! My husband and granddaughter loved the fact we were so close to GMHBA stadium. They enjoyed the football and the opening of the Joel Selwood Stand. Everything you need is in the cottage. Thanks for the lovely breakfast goodies and delicious cookies. Hope we can stay again! Family Football Weekend

My Brother and my Niece flew from NZ and we came from SA to all go to a Geelong game. Lawson Cottage is amazing. Really beautiful fitout. The provisions provided are more than enough. Walk to the stadium, local hotel and coffee spot. Perfect location. Geelong you need heating and this cottage has it covered. Gas log fire. Aircon and heated floor. Wow. So recommend this cottage.

Lovely and clean

With all the extra little touches. Lots of supplies in fridge. Bread and milk also to suit our taste. Owner very thoughtful. And bickies they left out, couldn't help myself

Cozy cottage

The smell of a fresh baked lemon cake as you walked in was delightful, very cozy cottage fell with everything you need from robs,comfortable beds, heater warmed house well, dvds,books lots of local pamphlets everything youll need in the kitchen fresh eggs,bacon,fruit,milk,bread bbq,washer dryer, washing powder, a beautiful big realxing bath,big double headed shower, heated tiles in bathroom lovely neat well kept backyard. My husband two young adult children and myself had a fabulous time staying at the cottage. 10/10 well.done and loved looking at all the vintage things around the house and your photo album of you renovating the property

Homely and inviting cottage

The cottage really felt like a home away from home. All the amenities and little touches that made it such a warm, cosy and comfortable stay. Especially with 2 young children! Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts.

Excellent Stay in Lawson's Cottage

My stay in Geelong was fabulous. The beautifully renovated cottage with a fantastic eclectic mix of old original and modern comforts was extremely clean with quality inclusions. It was cosy and warm with a sensational bath and bathroom. Easy walk into town (I am in my 60's) for Cafes/Resturants and the Bay walks are stunning. All in all a wonderful stay.

Beautifully presented, very comfortable with literally everything you need - we didn't even have to go the supermarket. Gorgeous garden, loved having our coffee in the morning sunshine. Agree with everything the other five star reviews mention.

Lovely, comfortable 1920s-style cottage

This renovated house was comfortable, warm and welcoming, with a lovely 1920s style. It was perfect for our short family get-away and a great place to base ourselves while we explored Geelong and the region. It was within a short drive of Geelong's Eastern Beach for an afternoon swim. The host was helpful and we appreciated the delicious supplies for breakfast and treats.

Amazing Era Cottage

This cottage is really well kept, super cosy and very comfortable. We loved our stay and wished we were able to stay longer. The cottage is equipped with all you need to have dinner or a BBQ in (we did) and a Nespresso machine to kickstart the mornings. The outdoor area around the back is very well kept, very pretty and a really well thought out space. Our host was externally hospitable, kind and a pleasure to deal with. If we are looking for somewhere to stay in Geelong again, we will certainly book here again.
