Beautiful historic cottage full of eclectic interesting antiques and collectables. Close to visiting the surrounding Barossa district and pet friendly. Beautiful wood fire on the chilly evenings and generous food supplies for a continental breakfast.
A great central location to the Barossa and surrounding towns
Very easy to deal with and a lovely homestead with lots of bygone era items around. A+++++
Very quiet location and a nice area to walk around and see the view.
Excellent big garden for the dogs to play. Kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed. Really enjoyed the complementary breakfast provisions and bottle of wine.We had a lovely time visiting attractions in the local area.
one of us had a spa early in the morning of our second to last day. We had no hot water after that for the rest of our stay. There's a lot of curios and limited space to put your own stuff, especially in the kitchen. It was clean, the fire was cosy, the beds were comfy, had a lovely big backyard and was well located to explore the Barossa
We throughly enjoyed our stay in Penrice which is essentially a suburb of Angaston. The owners kindly agreed for us to bring our 3 small dogs and the backyard was very secure which was perfect. The cottage was well equipped and very cosy. One thing to be aware of we found the mobile phone reception very poor (1 bar 3G inside and 1 bar 4G outside) and patchy (we’re on Telstra), and unfortunately the cottage has no wifi. Not really an issue for us with our short stay but unexpected these days so worth mentioning.
