This property has amazing views and a huge lanai! The location is great- walking distance to the beach, Ala Moana shopping center, and Waikiki. Tons of nearby restaurants and convenience stores. The building is very secure with a 24/7 doorman in the lobby. So convenient to have AC and in unit washer/dryer. We loved our stay!

Thanks Jennifer for your review. You guys can come back any time. It was great and easy to have you.
Great location-easy walking around Waikiki and to beaches but not In the heart of noisy, crowded Waikiki. Thomas was super accommodating and easy to work with. Condo is spacious and comfortable with a killer view. Large lanai was shaded much of the day which made it wonderful for sitting outside. Hope to stay here again. Highly recommend.

Sara and Jim are a very nice, pleasant couple with a small dog. They communicated and coordinated well, so the handover went equally well. Their stay was without incidents and they and the dog left the place in good order with no damages. They come to Hawaii on a regular basis and I look forward to host them again in the future.
Thanks Sara and Jim for staying with me.

Location, Location, Location!
Thomas' condo is perfectly located on the western edge of Waikiki, just a short walk to Ala Moana Beach Park, Magic Island, the Ala Moana Shopping Center and Ward Entertainment Center. Fort DeRussy and the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort are just across the street. There's a supermarket around the corner. Just over the Ali Wai canal, about a 5 minute walk, the McCulley Shopping Center offers several tasty local restaurants for those looking for good food without the Waikiki prices. We also recommend Aloha Kitchen for breakfast or lunch, just down the street. The 18th floor unit is well-appointed and just refurbished with new flooring throughout. Canterbury Place also offers a pool deck, spa tub & sauna. Parking is available, but you really don't need a car because there are 10 different bus lines a few steps away. If you do want to rent a car for a day trip, check out the Turo car-sharing app, which offers several cars already parked in the building's garage. The building feels secure, staffed 24 hours a day with a doorman. We truly enjoyed our two-month stay.

Locals Staying a Spell
We're a local family staying a few months while feeling out the housing market. While the location was great and the size/layout of the condo was great, it was dated and the first few days we were there, the couch broke down, the bed broke down, there were pictures falling off frames, and we were expected to be there for all scheduled maintenance services. The owner kept no check list prior to our moving in for things that we were getting blamed for after we moved out. It was very difficult to try to get our deposit back. In fact, we still haven't received anything back. And, speaking of money, the owner asked us to work outside of VRBO when we wanted to rent an extra month from him, but due to all the unfortunate circumstances we were suffering in this unit, we hoped we would get a discount, Instead, he upped the rate, saying it was "High Season." Give me a break. After he found out that we went through VRBO and got another place, he lied to us and said that he was going to give us this place for FREE. Give me another break! Don't be so desperate to rent a place with a great location. This place is full of homeless people downstairs screaming and yelling. Such a shame because VRBO usually gets it right.

Unfortunately it is true that this family broke a lot of things, such as the couch, the bed, and quite a few other things. Heavy furniture was moved and the 2 year old (speaking of dated) hardwood floors were scratched. I do have a handyman in house who fixed things immediately, sometimes on the weekend, but the bed was broken again by the end of the rental.
This family did first ask for an extension in July and after I did not grant them the extension right away, they asked for an early termination. Never did I offer them the place for free. Apparently one picture fell of the wall without breaking at the end of their rental and I apologize for that. Yes, I claimed some of the damage with the VRBO insurance and while this claim is being processed their security is blocked. This is the first time I am handling an insurance claim with VRBO and I was not aware of this automatism.
The building does maintain the AC and pest control on a regular schedule and the management has a key to enter if permitted. This family did not permit entry, since they had a dog, so they did have to be present for maintenance.
We are across from the Hilton Hawaiian Village, probably one of the safest locations in all of Hawaii. Like everywhere poor homeless people have a right to roam our streets and the police cannot do anything about that unless they bother other people or lie or sit on the floor. If they do so police intervenes. We are a secured building with 24 h doorpersons and nobody can enter the building without permission. So there are no homeless people in the building.
Unfortunately this family who told me sold their house because they were unhappy with their neighborhood, ended up unhappy with this rental and I feel sorry for that. I wish them more luck in their next adobe.
Location, location, location... Extremely professional, and superb, personal service
Memorable and Highly Recommended.
