Lovely renovated house, fantastic yard and playground. Well thought out games, utensils etc. Great yard for pets and kids. Close to the beach. Lovely view. Excellent communication from the host.Would love to see a laundry reno ;)
This is our second time staying here. The location is amazing. The facilities are everything you need for a weekend/school holiday family getaway. So close to the beach and even if there is an issue the owners were accessible and had the problem fixed immediately.
Property was exactly as expected - a very family friendly beach house. The kids had an amazing time being so close to the beach and having a secure yard (with playground) to play in. They also really enjoyed playing some of the games provided and the books in the property. Plus, the TV in their bedroom The adults enjoyed having a comfortable living area to relax in and being able to share childhood/family memories of Seaspray. It was also really easy to keep clean due to the floor boards. The hosts were very communicative, friendly and helpful. There was a small issue with the plumbing when they arrived, but they organised for it to be fixed ASAP.Will definitely be booking the property again
Beautiful quiet street with short walk to the beach/creek. Lovely fenced backyard for our basset hounds. . House was perfect for a family beach holiday. Thanks for allowing us to stay.
Stayed for 5 nights over the NYE break. Location was great as we enjoyed many dog walks on the beach and surrounds and had great weather for swimming. We enjoyed relaxing after some sunshine at the house and the kids appreciated the Wifi! Our dog enjoyed the fully fenced yard but couldn't help trying to sneak under the house. Thank you for a relaxing holiday.

The place is pretty old. It wasn't what we expected for the price. The laundry looked like if it is in an abandon house. The windows were not sealed properly in bedrooms and the fly screen in the bathroom was flying in the wind, so little flies and mosquitos could get in easily. On the positive, it is a quiet location with a nice playground and communication with the host was good.
The entry process was easy, the property was clean, the town was quiet. We walked around town, spent time on the beach, grabbed a coffee from the general store, chatted, and ate. Perfect.
We all loved the house, clean, comfortable, spacious, had everything that opened and shut provided. Our 2 grandsons aged 12 and 5 loved the playground and walking distance to the surf club and back for the party. My daughter and hubby came from Nth Melbourne and stayed with us too. Only thing we felt it needed was a soap dish for the shower.

All you need
This property is perfect for families. Everything you need. If had to complain it would be not being able to watch foxtel channels, owner doesn't give out code (strange considering they are paying for it so why not let people use it) neighbour is very cranky and told the children off for playing loud on the playground in the middle of the day.

Glad to hear your family enjoyed Beach Creek Cottage, Kesha. The Foxtel works for channels and included movies, just not the additional charge movies. Sorry about the neighbour...gotta feel sorry for people who don't like the sound of joy!
We had a lovely stay down at Seaspray, quaint little house and great back yard for the kids and dogs.
The only things we picked up on was the dishwasher doesn’t work, also there was left over meals in the oven which had gone mouldy. There was no outdoor tap that worked.
Other than that it was a great house and we had a great time.
Thank you

We love Seaspray, 90 Mile Beach is one of Victoria's best kept secrets and the town is a bit like having a beach holiday in the 1980s. The house is a classic beach shack with some modern updates. We were there during the coldest Easter weekend in decades and the house was cold with its old louvers and minimal insulation, the new gas heater was very appreciated, but guests do need to bring their layers and extra blankets. We had them, but don't come unprepared! Some additional electric heaters in the bedrooms could be a good addition to the house especially the kid's back bedroom. Otherwise we had a wonderful time and the kids loved the yard and play equipment. Thank you for hosting us!
This is a budget priced house so don’t expect anything more.
Seaspray beach is lovely and this house is an easy walk to the beach shop and SLSC. There is very limited ammenities in the town so come prepared with adequate supplies for your stay.
Neither of us were able to get phone or internet coverage off our own phones in town but the house has decent internet provided.
The house is tired and dirty, think dead flies on surfaces, sand in shower, toothpaste on vanity. Our bonus was a dead cat or rabbit in the back yard ( sorry wasn’t getting close enough to find out) on arrival and a live bat inside ( think about the origin of COVID 19).
We were sent a email two days prior to arrival saying the access details were contained inside . They weren’t and when we chased up were told they had had a busy week.
We approached Stephanie with these concerns at the time of our stay with a response of fobbing us off , very similar to her replies to other negative reviews. We had hoped she would at least be sympathetic as we would prefer not to leave a negative review. We will be interested in her response to this one.
Looks are deceiving.Seaspray Beach Creek cottageLooks beautiful, airy, clean, tidy and trendy, but a weird smell of old air freshener upon entering,(left front door open for 3 hours.) Everything is grimy to touch (including: remotes; couch covers; cushions & knee blankets. I had to cover them with my own sheets in order to sit on the couch and use tissues to hold onto the remote controls) and dusty.Bath was full of dead ants & rust was in both kitchen sinks. All I used in the kitchen was the kettle (which was in good condition & not sticky to touch) & two mugs. They were ok.Their water filter in the kitchen was ok, my cuppas tasted ok.Their water pressure was terrible, but at least the shower was hot. After running all the rusty water out of the pipelines. The hot water tap handle came off in my hands & there was only 40cm left of toilet paper. No more in storage. Thankfully I always keep a roll of toilet paper in my car. Phew! It took 1 hour (felt like 3 hours) to get the tv working.I had to check all the connections at the back of the tv. I ended up with hey fever as everything was dusty. Knowing someone was entering 3 days prior, they could at least check the cleanliness. The louvre windows were rusted in semi open position. Freezing at nighttime. Couldn’t close the back door to keep main living area warm. Bitten in bed by bed bugs.Only stayed 2 out of 4 nights. My home was warmer, even though in middle of repair works. They refused to refund 552.00. Incredibly disappointe.

Disappointing stay
Having stayed at many other holiday homes this one was certainly disappointing. Cottage smelled like a mouldy musty old caravan throughout but more intensely in the bedrooms and laundry. The laundry was a tiny old porch covered with a mouldy roof and lots of spider webs, spiders and mozzies. None of the flywire doors didnt closed or openened properly. Upon arrival there was water inside on floor underneath the front windows and drafts coming from the louvre windows. There are holes in the bathroom window and wall. There was a crack in toilet wall which you could see daylight outside. All the sheer curtains have mould on them and need washing. Although the house is surface clean there is definitly mould throughout in the walls and ceiling and the damp weather only assisted to intensify the problem. We couldn't sleep because of the musty mould smell and our bedding smelled of mould when we got home. It was very unpleasant and overwhelming. Airing the house and spraying glen 20 didn't help.
The fan and light over kitchen table didn't work nor did the outdoor sensor light. Light globes were out in bathroom, rangehood and one flouro globe in lounge didn't work either. Light globes in laundry and on front verandah were scary as they kept flickering while switched on and turned off by themselves even though we hadn't turned the switches off.
The white kettle provided was completely black on the inside, obviously had never ever been cleaned before. Tap in bathroom fell off in my hand
The property was clean and provided every comfort you need for a family beach side stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the required equipment and we were able to create lovely meals for 6 people.
The creature comforts of Foxtel was an added bonus.
We had a lovely stay and would love to come back and experience the house during the warmer weather so we can utilise the closeness to the beach.
FIne place, clean and functional, Would be nice to have an outdoor area to sit in.
The Satellite connect was way too flaky to be useful, would recommend the owner just puts 4G aerial on the roof and connects via 4G - a lot cheaper and more reliable
The house is a fibro shack so it's very old, worn out and tired. Think scuffed, chipped, cracked. It's obviously had very heavy use over the past ten years. We didn't really care that it was a bit tired and old, but the dirt and grime was revolting. Tile grout on the floor was thick with dirt and grime and discoloured, the kitchen table had spills that hadn't been wiped up, the kitchen utensil and cutlery draws were filthy with dust, crumbs, and splashes of something that had dried. We have stayed in a lot of places but this was the first accomodation where we didn't use the kitchen at all and drove to cafes instead. I highly doubt the COVID cleaning protocols were followed before our arrival.
The mattresses were stained and mattress protectors included pubic hairs and other brown stains. When I sent photos to the host she said these were texta marks. They were 100% not texta marks.
The lean-to at the back of the house contains the bathroom and toilet and the ceiling is very low- I'm 174cms and my head touched the roof so it's not ideal for taller people.
Lots of internal walls didn't meet in the corner so there are cracks where daylight and wind comes through. Even with all doors and windows closed the house was constantly full of mosquitos so the kids got eaten alive.
The parents of the couple who own the property are camped in the yard behind a fence and this may bother some people.
The wiring is old and potentially dangerous because we couldn't charge three devices at the same time without tripping the circuit breaker.
This property needs a serious deep clean, re-wiring and a repaint.
Positives were that new mattress protectors were provided after we pushed for them. The hosts parents were quick to provide these since they were camped in the backyard. There are some new cushions on the couch and couch covers that look nice. Check in/out was easy, a key safe is provided.
We wouldn't stay here again. The property is in such poor condition. Even if this were budget accomodation it should still be clean. We sent pictures to friends who run similar properties and they were horrified.

Every now and then you get a guest who comes in to your family holiday home who wants to pay the discount prices we offer, but wants a five star experience. The house is as pictured, and her descriptions above are unfair. This is a great little family getaway on a budget. Your behaviour was embarrassing to everyone, including your husband who sat quietly on the couch whilst you went on a treasure hunt to find a hair on the bed (whilst your dog ran around the house freely). The block is subdivided, with fencing, no one is in the backyard. The block next door can't be seen from the house and is fully separate. Hope you stick to your fancy pants hotels in the future and pay the appropriate prices. We love the place, and others who come down with the right mindset of a nice little getaway love it too. Hence the other reviews either side of yours.
