Tyraman Retreat is a huge multi-purpose residence in one of the most scenic parts of the Hunter Valley, suitable for large self-catering groups, family gatherings, parties, workshops, yoga retreats and other social occasions. Comfortable accommodation is available for 15-20 people. Arrangements can be made for more if required.

Wine tours and minibus transport can be arranged for pick up from the property. Tyraman is a good base for exploring the areas many attractions. Book your stay to coincide with one of the music and cultural events for which the Hunter Wine district is famous. Visit historic towns, crystal clear rivers and explore the spectacular countryside.

Perched on the side of a mountain with breathtaking views the retreat has a large lounge with open fireplace and a separate dining hall with banquet tables. The architect-designed, pole-framed building is surrounded by soaring verandas and rainforest courtyard gardens, in a 160 acre private bush setting.

Guests enjoy the residence and its 160 acre property as their private domain, with extensive rainforest gardens, dams and hillside walks. Wildlife abounds: kangaroos, goannas, echidnas, wedge tailed eagles, and fine bird watching from the verandas.

Tyraman is ideal for fun getaways with friends, or do-it-yourself gourmet weekends in stylish surrounds.

Perfect venue for making memories

Celebrated my 40th birthday at Tyraman Retreat, everyone was impressed with the venue and the views. I've stayed here before for a healing retreat, it's refreshing for the soul.

The house is a dream come true. They had everything right down to spare blankets and all the kitchen things we needed for a large group. They were kind, accommodating and genuinely just lovely to work with. We are so pleased with our stay and will be booking again ASAP.

Perfect secluded bush location for a 70th birthday celebration with our family. Beautiful views from every room. Plenty of space and more than enough beds for our group of 13. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need for catering. An added bonus was a shiny new coffee machine for the coffee lovers. Loved the our door fire pit and the indoor fire place kept us cosy warm. Thank you Stuart and Rosie, we had a wonderful stay.

A beautiful countryside private retreat

Tyraman Retreat was the perfect location for what we needed. It had ample space, incredible scenery and was extremely well stocked with everything we could have needed. Hosts provided clear instructions to ensure our stay was a breeze. Would highly recommend!

Amazing place for a weekend with the boys

Fantastic weekend. Had a bucks party and the place accomodated a large group with everything we needed. Beautiful nature around and the house was spacious with multiple areas to socialise.

Amazing spot for a weekend away with friends

The property is phenomenal for a weekend away with a group of friends - the outdoor firepit, the large kitchen and bbq area for food prep, living room for watching sport, and of course the extensive grounds. Stuart & Rosie were really accommodating for our stay, putting in extra beds as our group grew. Everyone had an amazing weekend and couldn't have picked a better spot.

The perfect retreat

I couldn't recommend this property more. Firstly, all the people that manage this property were great to deal with. The house and land that it sits on were just stunning. The house itself is well put together and the layout allows for groups to thrive at all hours. I stayed with 12 other men for a bucks weekend and there was nothing else we could have asked for. The living room opening to views of rolling hills and grazing animals was just amazing. Shout out to Richard for the good welcome and loading us up with firewood. I am sure we will be back and will be recommending this venue to friends and family. Thank you!

Amazing

We are a group 20+ friends who have know each other for over 30 years. We go away once a year together. The house is amazing and we’ll equipped with everything you need. Comfortable and rustic set among the beautiful hills and trees. We made the most of the hiking trail and the outside fire pit. Plenty of wood was provided for the weekend. The location was fantastic for us as we can get quite loud, singing, dancing and playing music. There was wifi if we needed it. We organised a caterer to come in for lunch on one of the days. Stuart was fabulous with communicating with me. We will definitely be back. We had the most fabulous stay. We can’t recommend this amazing property enough. Thank you Stuart and Rosie

Tyraman Retreat is absolutely stunning! Rain or shine it’s wonderful to be in the presence of such beauty in nature. The check in process was great and so easy, I had ample details of the place and how to navigate it. The kitchen is stocked with anything and everything you could need and my cousin had a wonderful girls weekend away celebrating her upcoming wedding. Thankyou to our hosts. It was a magical weekend.

Perfect little escape

Tyraman was the perfect spot for us to celebrate my 30th. The house has lots of spaces so it never felt cramped and it had enough crockery and cooking utensils to self-cater for a large group. The walking trails are definitely worth it!

Lovely for a weekend away

A truely special place, we had such a relaxing stay. The property is secluded, surrounded by nature and the perfect place to unwind for the weekend with all of the amenities to host a large group. Blow away! Heaven

Absolutely spectacular property! Amazing location, breathtaking views, everything you need, amazing communication pre-arrival! I had a weekend away here with 12 nearest and dearest for my 30th and we all had one of the best weekends of our lives. I feel very fortunate we got to celebrate at this property. And the icing on the cake was the 10am check in time and 5pm check out time!! So generous of them, and that extra time meant we could enjoy a sleep in and breakfast before cleaning up and packing away. Couldn’t recommend this place more! We can’t wait to visit again

The Perfect Stay!

We booked Tyraman to celebrate my partners 40th birthday with a group of friends. We could not fault the property, the booking process or our stay. We all raved about how easy and accommodating the owners were to deal with. There was nothing missing from the house, so much thought has gone in to what guests would like and need. Highly recommend. Boys Trip Weekend Away

Was an awesome play to hang out and relax, play music and chill by the fire pit. Was quite remote so no one to bother and could easily switch off and enjoy the property. Can highly recommend their affiliate shuttle service to plan day trips into town for golf etc. and it’s only 10mins from a great local pub, The Beatty Hotel, a generational pub with heaps of character and locals. Stuart was really helpful in planning, gave plenty of communication about the property and went the extra mile to make the stay great.
