About this property

Amaroo Beachside Retreat

Amaroo beachside holiday lodge is nestled in the exclusive Tuckeroo gated beachside estate.

Short walk along a beach track leads you onto the famous Tallows Beach with great surfing, fishing, swimming and walks. From the beach you have views to Byron bay lighthouse to your left and Broken Head Nature reserve to the right.

The busy suffolk park bakery is just a 5 minute walk away great for coffee and breakfast.The village also has a supermarket, post office, chemist, several resturants and pub.

Just a 5 minute drive to the hustle and bustle of Byron Bay or maybe take a bicycle into town. Bus service also leaves Suffolk Park for surrounding areas.

The accomodation comprises of a parking space for one car leading to a tropical private courtyard, bbq and entrance to downstairs bathroom. Stairs to first floor living space with sofa, air conditioning, TV, kitchen, microwave, with east facing balcony. Bedroom with either x 2 kingsize single beds or king size bed, TV, west facing balcony.

Features of this newly renovated home make for a relaxing stay. You can hear the waves and listen to the birds

The double storey accommodation comprises of a car parking space leading to a tropical private covered courtyard with bbq.

There is also a laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer and entrance to a down stairs bathroom comprising of shower washbasin and toilet.
Upstairs to the 1st floor living space with sofa bed., ceiling fan, airconditioning, TV with a east facing balcony.

The kitchen area has fridge, microwave, oven and cook top. Filtered water
The ceilings are vaulted with window shutters and timber floor.

Wireless Internet provided

The bedroom has lovely king bed (can be made into 2 king singles, please request this option).

The bedroom has fresh linen, towels supplied and TV with a west facing balcony and ceiling fan.

Beachside bliss.

I've just returned back to the real world after a wonderful stay at Amaroo last weekend. This property has everything, excellent location, clean, welcoming and super relaxing. Hearing the waves hit the shore is a real treat and definitely adds to the vibe of the place. Would happily recommend staying here if I didn't want to keep it a secret for myself :)

Great location away from the hustle & bustle

Amaroo was the perfect beachside accommodation for our week in Byron Bay. The villa had everything you could possibly need to make our stay enjoyable. Being able to hear the waves at night was a big tick! The one very small negative was that the lounge seating was quite uncomfortable. We would definitely stay at Amaroo again. Thank you Lorna.

For the money could have stayed in town even a bit cheaper. Bed was like sleeping in a hammock. Not even a coffee pod machine. Bathroom and only toilet were down stairs from the only bedroom up stairs. No a/c in the bedroom and the ceiling fan noisy clearly needed maintenance. Well over priced for its 6.8kms from town you will need a car !!!!

We stayed at Amaroo for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Everything you need, steps from the beach, quiet, relaxing and situated close to the action of you desire it. Idyllic setting on Tallow beach, ideal for walks and beach days. Conveniently located close to groceries, beverages, coffee-anything you need. Loved our stay and would love to come back. A little bit of paradise

This property is wonderful. It is a quiet and comfortable retreat, just steps from the beach. If you want excitement, it is a short drive (or bus ride) to Byron Bay. The host has thought of everything you will need, both big and small items. If I could give it 6 out of 5 stars I would!

I have lost count how many times my partner and I have stayed at Lorna and David’s place. We love staying here so much it feels like our second home. You will not find a nicer place to stay in Byron/Suffolk this close to the beach and all amenities you need. With superb hospitality and peacefulness it really has that retreat feel.
