Totally tropical in style, Tequila Sunset is a large studio apartment with a fabulously fortunate view across Market Park to Dickson Inlet, right in the heart of town. Uniquely located on the top-floor corner of the Club Tropical building, at the Northern end of Macrossan St, this is the ultimate location to enjoy Port Douglas.

The balcony will become your favorite place to relax, sip cocktails and soak up the Port Douglas atmosphere. The kitchen offers full cooking facilities – stove-top, microwave, fridge etc. Everything has been considered, including ice machine, coffee maker, blender, cocktail tools and glassware, beach towels, binoculars, board games and more.

Enjoy a large lounge area, King-size bed and spacious ensuite with corner-bath and separate shower. Guests at Tequila Sunset also have full use of pool and resort facilities, including undercover secured parking.

This apartment is light and airy, offering gorgeous views North to Dickson Inlet and the Daintree Rainforest beyond, creating a wonderfully comfortable, tropical atmosphere.

Watch the boats come and go on the Inlet, look out to the parkland across the road and the mountains in the background. As you're right in the central hub of town, you can just wander down Macrossan St, boasting some of the best restaurants in the region, fashion boutiques, art galleries, pubs and cafes. On Sundays you’ll have the world renown Port Douglas markets right across the street in the park, where you can buy locally grown and produced goods. St Mary's by The Sea Wedding chapel, one of the best known and used icons in the area, is also right there in the park, making Tequila Sunset a very popular apartment for wedding couples and guests.

Wow !Tequila Sunset is a fantastic place to stay .The location is perfect right in town . Caroline was amazing to deal with ,she met us when we arrived explained everything and answered all out questions. Without doubt the best location for a week in Port Douglas. Yesteryear styling, very eclectic but it all works so well and true to its description. We spent many hours taking in the view and watching the world go by and are already thinking about doing it all again next year.. Don’t hesitate.

We loved Caroline's apartment for our first stay in Port Douglas. The decor is wonderful and absolutely puts you in holiday mode, and it is thoughtfully stocked with just about everything you could want for a holiday. Loved the location close to the park, shops, dining, and yet it was very quiet inside. Hope to return and highly recommended.

We had a fabulous time. Caroline was terrific Our only feedback is it was quite noisy at night with the pubs and clubs right downstairs and the pool area was very small and always packed. Difficult to have swim P is for Pineapple Overall, we loved it and adore Port Douglas Thank you Caroline x

We had a wonderful stay at Tequila Sunset. The unit is even better than the photos! The view was wonderful. We were right in the middle of all the action - but it didn't disturb us at all. We absolutely loved this place! The wife and I visited Port Douglas as part of our honeymoon and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Tequlia Sunset is at the tip of the main downtown strip, easy to explore and visit restaurants and shops. The outdoor patio/kitchen was fun to hang out in and view the different species of birds, see the boats go by, and take in other town activities. Caroline was super friendly and met us when we arrived. And the front desk reception (Kel) was very helpful in recommending tours (we wanted to see the reef and the rainforest). We highly recommend this place and would book it again on our next visit to Port Douglas.

A great place for music lovers

If I were 30 years younger, I would have loved this stay. Unfortunately, the music playing opposite the apartment was too invasive, affecting sleep and relaxation. It was impossible to block out the noise and light. The location was otherwise excellent!

This is without doubt the best holiday apartment I have ever stayed in. I only left Caroline's gorgeous property yesterday and I'm already missing it. Tequila Sunset is spacious, light filled, and has every amenity you could think of needing during your stay. The view from the balcony is to die for and Port Douglas itself is the most wonderful place to visit. Caroline is the most delightful person, bubbly and simply gorgeous. She met me on arrival with sparkling wine and chocolates and showed me through the apartment explaining the ins and outs and giving me tips on restaurants, things to do etc.I can wholeheartedly recommend Caroline's fabulous apartment and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when I come back to Port Douglas.Thank you for a wonderful stay and precious memories.

Perfect Getaway

The photos on Stayz do not do this property justice. Tequila Sunset is actually better in person. The host Caroline was super friendly and easily contactable. She met us at check in and gave a run down of her property (even leaving a bottle of bubbles in the fridge along with some other goodies). The property is right in the heart of town and everything is within walking distance. We were pleasantly suprised in relation to the quality of the restaurants. You must go to Salsa, Jungle Fowl and Wrasse and Roe, all were absolutely fantastic. So all in all we give Tequila Sunset a 10/10. Thanks to Caroline for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment, Mark and Nikki (Victoria)

Highlight of our trip to Australia

We spent 5 nights at the “Tequila Sunset”, celebrating our 40th anniversary. Location was perfect. Caroline met us at the Unit when we arrived, told us to call if we needed anything (we did not, all was provided). Restaurants and shopping were within walking distance. Local park across street. Friendly people. Parking & laundry in building. We drove to Mossman Gorge one day and on another day we took a Catamaran from Port Douglas to the Great Barrier Reef. Loved the Wildlife Habitat, we had Breakfast With the Birds and enjoyed petting and feeding the kangaroos, birds and emu. Pool was always available in the evening, we enjoyed relaxing swims by torch light. Beautiful sunrise & sunset views from our open air kitchen/balcony. Live music was enjoyed from across the street and always over by 10:30. Very relaxing & beautiful.

Our Little Gem

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. This is our second time and if not for Covid would have been our third. Caroline is the perfect host who has thought of absolutely everything including even an ice making machine ! The apartment is beautifully furnished. Bright with a tropical feel.
