Treat yourself to a relaxing retreat at our spacious 4 bedroom beachhouse with your very own sparkling, solar heated pool! Perfect for a family (or two), the house sleeps 8 comfortably, and offers all the creature comforts for you and your pets*.
A short stroll (600m) and you'll be at the beach, where the stunning bayside beaches of the peninsula await you. Stop off for an ice-cream at the corner shop, or have a meal at "The Kitchen", before you return for a lazy afternoon by the pool where you can watch the BBQ sizzle and sip the local wine.

Ducted heating and two split system air conditioners, as well as ceiling fans in the bedrooms, will keep you comfortable when at home. If you're looking for a change from lazing by the pool or on the beach, why not try some of the activities that have made the Peninsula the place where Melbourne (and the world) comes to play.

THE HOUSE

Featuring split-level design and zoned living, the house includes master bedroom at the front of the house with full en suite (spa bath) and walk in robe. A further three double bedrooms and family bathroom (separate bath and shower), can be found beyond the second living area and kitchen at the rear of the house.

Two spacious living areas with flat screen TVs offer entertainment for all - Wii, IPod docking station, games, books and a treasure chest of toys for the kids. Wifi is available.

Cook up a storm in the modern kitchen, equipped with all you would expect in a luxury property, including a luxurious 900mm Ilve oven. The kitchen overlooks the pool and includes a coffee machine and dishwasher, of course. Serve up your feast at the gorgeous oak dining table, or outside under the shade sail by the pool.

The kids (and pets!) can run around in the back garden, which is fully enclosed. The large lawn provides the perfect spot for a game of backyard cricket/bocce/football. The pool is separated from the lawn area by a safety fence.

Family holiday

Perfect for kids and dogs!

We had a wonderful week at Charmes - the weather was perfect and the kids absolutely loved the pool. We had my parents staying with us for a few days and the layout of the house was perfect with a separate 'wing' at the front with king sized bed and ensuite, and a family friendly section for us and the kids (and dog) at the back. Views over the pools from so many rooms made supervision of the kids (7 and 10) very easy. The house was beautifully furnished without being precious, and the beaches both front beach for swimming and back beach for exploring rock pools were beautiful. We mainly ate in at the big family sized dining table and having full sized fridge and pantry made shopping easy too. A really perfect end to the school holidays.

Dirty, old and falling apart

When we walked into the property we were astounded at the condition of the property. It was super dirty. We spent first 2 hours cleaning upon arrival. The outside chairs and table covered in dirt and cobwebs, cobwebs inside cupboards, above the bed and covering everything outside. The outside sitting area needed to be swept, it was covered in leaves, cobwebs, dog hair, rubbish and dirt. Outside chairs rusted. Windows were in a disgusting condition, probably not washed in years. The garden outside was not maintained. Grasses not cut, bushes not maintained, rubbish sprawled out the back, cigarette butts and old dog poo. Children could not play outside. The pools roller cover kept falling inside the pool as the plastic roller was not adhered to the ground. The carpet stained, the rug in second living area was putrid, furniturenot new as advertised. The beds were the most uncomfortable. The children refused after first night to sleep in their room with single beds and they had to sleep in with their parents due to the poor quality of the mattresses. The BBQ was not cleaned properly so it went on fire when we turned it on and there was no fire blanket available. The TV did not work in evenings except for one channel. The list goes on!! Definitely NOT luxury as advertised. We paid a premium luxury price and I actually cried for getting us and our closest friends into this mess. We have a holiday once a year as we work very hard and have a disabled child. This house was an absolute dump and it was deceitful to advertise it as luxury and take our hard earned money. We are supposed to be supporting our Victorian economy but this was the biggest disappointment we have ever had in holiday accommodation. The owner offered us only to vacate 2days early on a 7 day stay and we could receive 2 days accommodation fees back.

A little slice of heaven in Tootgaroon on the Mornington Peninsula

This little hideaway was just what the doctor ordered for a perfect midweek breakaway for my family of five. Warm inviting, cozy and plenty of room for us all to find our own private space. Our kids especially enjoyed the pool, and their own chill out space as well as being close to the beach. And all that room to run! For my husband and I, it was all about relaxation, comfort and getting some quiet time which were long time coming but all in abundance at the property. We really appreciated the feeling of home, warmth, no cleanliness, fresh linen and fluffy towels too and best of all, knowing that we could just breathe. Close enough to some great little eateries and supplies that we needed. To our hosts. Thank you, really enjoyed, really appreciated and we look forward to a return stay very soon. .

'Charmes' was quite the charm

We booked 'Charmes' for a weekend getaway and to spend time together with our family and it was the perfect house for exactly that. We had 4 adults and 4 young teens stay and it was so ideal with the pool (which they spent almost the entire weekend in) air hockey table, board games, the Wii and a large enclosed yard which meant we could also take along our puppy. The house was certainly large enough for the 8 of us and with the 2 lounge areas, the dinning area and outdoor area we had lots of room to enjoy. The coffee machine was a hit with the adults and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare, cook and serve meals with. The host was absolutely lovely to deal with, replied to messages promptly and made sure our stay was comfortable. I would highly recommend this stay, perfect but not too precious to take children and dogs.

This house is a must for families with kids and dogs

My family and l enjoyed a great break over Easter - kids absolutely loved the pool and air hockey table - the outdoor area was great for BBQ’s - Lots of space to spread out amongst the 2 living rooms- the fact our four legged family members also got to enjoy the stay as well was awesome - a huge yard for them to run around in plus a nice stroll to beautiful beaches- WIFI would have enhanced the stay considering mobile reception is not great - Communication with Danielle was great and quick to respond

Hidden Gem

Charmes is situated in an excellent position - close enough to walk to the beach or a 5 min drive to the back surf beach - the home is very dog friendly as is the local beach. Loads of room for everyone to spread out with great fans in bedrooms and aircon in the main lounge areas. The pool is very well maintained and we loved having a swim in it. The home has everything you need and is very clean - I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a clean, quiet place close to the beach.

Heaven!

We spent a few nights at 'Charmes' - wish it could have been longer. The property was spotless and very well appointed. Plenty of room for everyone (we stayed with another family), and tones for the kids to do without even leaving the house. Very relaxing for all of us. Look forward to coming back soon!

Paradise close to home

on't let looks deceive you. This tranquil place is nestled amongst a natural surround. Upon approach you wonder what to expect but the property speaks for itself. With ample room for the 6 adults, a child and a dog we all had enough room to be together and alone. The pool was lovely although the weather did not allow us to enjoy it more. Plenty of room around the dining table for everyone to enjoy a family meal and a well equipped kitchen to assist in its preparation. Overall a lovely stay close to all amenities.

We absolutely loved our stay at Charmes, it is beautifully and tastefully decorated, with 2 separate living areas, plenty of room outside for the kids to run around, and close to everything. Wonderful holiday home

Our group of 8 adults and 3 toddlers were very comfortable staying at Charmes. The house is very spacious and with excellent layout. The family room was perfect and cosy for the 3 toddlers. We were so excited to stumble upon the cupboard full of toys and games for all kids of ages. The garden, cubby house, outdoor toys and heated swimming pool was also enjoyed by the little and big kids. :) Everything was provided, including linen, towels and beach towels. It was all very clean and tidy. Owner was very prompt and accommodating for our group. Thank you.

We had a fantastic time at Charmes, this house has everything you need. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need for cooking for 2 families. Beautifully appointed house, very clean throughout. Great spaces for the Adults, Kids and Dogs to enjoy their holiday. The pool was great, the Kids just loved it. Close to the beach, and large playground at the local school. We couldn't fault anything about the house and will definitely be back again. Thanks Team Charmes...

Made for relaxation

This place is extremely relaxing, and the owners were super friendly and helpful!!! So pleased with everything, the kitchen is well-equipped, bathrooms are nice and shiny, it is overall a very clean and comfortable home. Everyone commented on how nice and relaxing it was from the moment they stepped through the door

Lovely home!

We had an amazing stay at Charmes. The property was clean and cosy! Had a great enclosed yard that the dog loved to run around in. The pool was nice and refreshing after such a hot day. There were even games and dvds that would be great for cold rainy days. Would definately love to stay here again.

Fabulous!

We stayed at charmes in December and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house. It was light, clean and extremely comfortable.  The house was very spacious and well appointed.  Everything was new, and very tasteful.  I especially enjoyed the beautiful linen and comfy beds! The house was very close to the beach and in a quiet street.  There was so much we could have done, but ran out of time - we will be back next year to try the hot springs! The kids had heaps to do, the pool was lovely and warm, and on the one rainy day they enjoyed the toys, games and wii.
