Wombat Hill Cottage Bed and Breakfast offers a relaxed and comfortable get-away for those wanting to relax surrounded by nature whilst being close to the beautiful villages of Berry and Kangaroo Valley (a 10-15 minute drive), stunning beaches - Gerringong, Gerroa and Shoalhaven heads all within a 25 minute drive from the cottage.

There is a minimum of two nights required to make a reservation. Please note we have two rescue dogs that may bark at first but are both friendly however if you are uncomfortable around dogs, please consider a stay at another property. We accept reservations that are for a minimum of two nights and we offer a discount for weekly reservations.

If you'd like a taste of small farm living, country peacefulness, expansive mountain views, acres of glorious parkland gardens to explore, Wombat Hill Cottage is ideal. While relaxing with a coffee or a glass of wine on the cottage deck you can enjoy the beautiful views to the escarpments and take in the very beautiful gardens. You are welcome to collect the eggs from our friendly chickens and pick some fruit from our small orchard of citrus trees. We have a thriving organic vegetable garden and four young sheep that love company and often allow you to hand feed them. We also have honey bees and two dogs!

Located in Bellawongarah, on top of Berry Mountain, Wombat Hill Cottage is a two hour drive from Sydney and two and a half hours from Canberra. You have easy access to the beautiful south coast beaches with Jervis Bay less than a 50 minute drive away.

Wombat Hill Cottage is separated from the main residence by a large deck and is private and fully self contained. All amenities are modern and include a queen sized bed and bedroom (electric blanket is provided), separate bathroom, a full kitchen and living area with 2 sofas (one is a king single pullout for an extra adult or child). The Cottage living room/kitchen has heating/air-conditioning, fans, books and magazines, TV, DVD player, CD player, and a private deck to relax on and enjoy the garden and mountain views. A basket of delicious breakfast supplies and pantry essentials are included.

Checkin is any time after 3pm and checkout is by 11am.

Wombat Hill Cottage is 10.1 kms from the Princes Highway turnoff in Berry or 9 km from the Friendly Inn Hotel in Kangaroo Valley on Moss Vale Road. From Kangaroo Valley heading toward Nowra, turn left on Kangaroo Valley Road which is a few kms past the village. It's approx. 7.5 ks from this point.

On arrival, please park in “guest parking” area to the left of the cottage. Walk to the front of your car and you will see the gate into the Cottage deck. This is your own entrance to the Cottage and helps ensure your privacy. In the week before you arrive we will email you our exact address and details of where you can locate the key.

Sad we didn't get to stay longer

What a beautiful slice of the world this is. My husband and 2 year old had a lovely stay here. The most accomodating hosts we've ever had, a cosy beautiful unit, and stunning property. Despite heavy rain we still had a wonderful stay and appreciated Jenny's suggestions of activities nearby. We are sad we don't live closer!

Beautiful retreat

2nd Wonderful Stay

More than just a B&B

Jenny and Nick have put in a lot of hard work to keep to place maintained beautifully. The gardens are great to walk through at the end of the day and the animals, especially the sheep, were fantastic - very cute and friendly! The living area is modern and comfortably detached from the rest of the house. WiFi was also available for anyone wondering.

Perfection

Very comfortable, cosy, cottage. The owners had thought of everything from home made bread, jams, chutney, bacon and fresh eggs for breakfast to vases of beautiful perfumed roses. The grounds of the property are stunning but due to the extremely wet weather I didn't get to see much of them. Jenny and Nick are lovely hosts; so friendly and welcoming. I will certainly recommend Wombat Hill Cottage to family and friends and I intend to return soon.

The Perfect retreat when in Kangaroo Valley

The cottage was comfortable, the hosts gracious, the location stunning. Unfortunately Stayz let us down by not communicating with the owners even though we paid a large booking fee.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, home made treats and an expansive and delightful garden hideaway then Wombat Hill is it. Perfect weekend away in the country

Idyllic is how you would describe a weekend at Wombat Hill. Sitting in the morning sun on the verandah, was a perfect way to take in the glorious views across the valley. We were in Bellawongarah to attend an event. Jenny & Nick were so generous in their offers to drive us to the venue or down to Berry. The breakfast hamper of bacon, freshly baked sourdough and eggs from their farm, was the perfect Sunday morning recovery. If you're looking for a true country retreat, yet still close enough to duck into Berry, then we can recommend Wombat Hill.

Restful Retreat

The peace and serenity of the property was a wonderful introduction to a relaxing and carefree couple of days during a stressful family time. Once we drove through the gate we were literally in another world. A return visit during slightly warmer times is a definite.

The perfect getaway

We have had a beautiful weekend in this fantastic property. The hosts are just perfect, they look after you but giving you privacy. The place is great, with the most amazing view to the garden and the valley. And of course, feeding the sheeps was our daughter’s favourite activity. We would love to return to this special place.

Wombat Hill Cottage is as idyllic as the name. Set atop a fair few colourful acres of land, the balcony overlooks a vista across the rolling hills of Berry Mountain and Kangaroo Valley. Jenny and Nick were delightful hosts, that provided the best touches for our stay including fresh produce from their gardens. Would recommend for anyone looking for peace and quiet away from the city - a place where the weather doesn't matter (rain or shine), it's just right. Gus
