Cot & High chair available on request.


Parking is directly at the the rear of Stable Door and only several metres from the rear entrance with plenty of room to unhitch a caravan or boat.

The open plan has an overall size 12 X 6mte including bathroom plus a similar sized open private courtyard. Ideal for couples who are out and about during the day returning to this quiet & private accommodation for a relaxing evening.

Perfect Stopover

Cozy Cottage

A gorgeous and very comfortable cottage steeped in history. An authentic 1850’s outhouse building converted into very warm and cosy accommodation. Extremely clean with homely touches to make your stay more enjoyable.

Delightful Cottage!!!

How I wished I could have stayed longer than one night in this gorgeous cottage. I arrived on a hot day to find the air conditioner had been switched on for me, thank you, Lorraine and Owen! The cottage is very clean and so comfortable with a gorgeous courtyard. I highly recommend a stay at the Stable Door cottage. It is very close to the Geelong town centre and only half an hour down the highway to Torquay, the start of the Great Ocean Road.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Stable Door. Such a beautifully room with lots of homely trimmings. Our hosts were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We felt very much at home in beautiful surroundings. We had a perfect sleep each night in the most comfortable bed. Will stay again next time we visit Lara.

We where overwhelm with how beautiful the place is. The outdoor area and how the bbq area where beautiful. The only thing we where a little disappointed was thr kitchen. Its.more a kitchenette.

A good stay in an intriguing space

My wife and I found that we needed an escape for a few days. It was a comfortable space, with a generous gas log fire to chase away the chills. The ground coffee provided is a nice touch.

We found the property to be extremely comfortable, well equipped in a super quiet location. Loved the decor & style, especially the beautiful timber beams. We felt like we were in an episode of Escape To The Country. A great little gem in Lara.

We love staying here at Stable Door. Trendy like hideaway with a great feel. The bed is super comfy, the space is super clean and spacious. The indoor and outdoor spaces are really appealing.
