The Space:
Pal Mar is a gorgeous recently remodeled 2 bed 2 bath apartment on Isla Verde Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico and arguably the best urban beach in the Caribbean. From Pal Mar you and your guests will be staying right on a 1.5 mile-long beach and will be within walking distance to endless options for dining and nightlife. The apartment is 5 minutes from Luis Muñoz Marin and includes dedicated parking for one vehicle. You’ll love the beach views from every room in the apartment and the recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms. The property comfortably sleeps 4 adults in 1 king bed and 1 queen bed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: ON 4/10/24 WE WERE INFORMED BY THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE BUILDING THAT THERE WILL BE TWO ONGOING CONSTRUCTIONS/RENOVATIONS - ONE ON THE 2ND FLOOR AND ONE ON THE 8TH FLOOR.

THIS WILL BE GOING ON FOR AT LEAST SIX (6) MONTHS FROM MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY AT 9:00AM UNTIL 5:00PM.

WHILE THIS UNIT IS ON THE 3RD FLOOR, YOU WILL VERY LIKELY HEAR THE CONSTRUCTION NOISE.

The building does not allow anyone to hang clothes, towels, mops, or other artifacts on the walls or balcony railings. Will be fined $50.00 instantly.


LIVING AREAS

Enter the property, and you are greeted with beautiful beach and ocean views as you look across the dining room, living room, and balcony. The tropical chic decor, along with its statement palm trees wallpaper, ensures the living areas pop with personality and unique style. The dining room comfortably sits 4 adults and has a convenient opening to the kitchen counter so you can serve meals buffet style. The living room has a massive 65-inch flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix, so you can sit and relax while playing your favorite tv show as you enjoy the view and trade winds. The living room also has a wonderful layout for socializing. Enter the balcony, and you will feel like you are on the sand. It does not get closer to the beach than this!
 

BEDROOMS

The master bedroom has 1 king bed with epic views of Isla Verde Beach. There is a flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix. There is also a new private full bathroom with a rain shower head and traditional travertine tiles. It is important to point out that the master bedroom does not have a closet. There are drawers to store clothes and a portable clothing rack to hang shirts, blouses, etc. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and spectacular beach views. There is a large closet in this room. The flat also has a 2nd dedicated full bathroom with a rain shower head and traditional travertine tiles. 
 

KITCHEN

Pal Mar has a brand new European sleek style kitchen with quartz countertops, LED lighting, stovetop, oven, dishwasher, full fridge with ice maker, microwave oven, and coffee maker. The kitchen has everything you will need for an extended stay. The kitchen opens up to the dining and living room, so you always socialize with the rest of the group.
 

GETTING AROUND

We recommend moving around via Uber if staying within the general Isla Verde and San Juan area.
If you decide to rent a car, please keep in mind that this building has one assigned parking. 

 
LOCATION

Pal Mar is located on Isla Verde Beach, Puerto Rico. This is arguably the best urban beach in the Caribbean. The beach is 1.5 miles long, and the Isla Verde strip has a long list of dining and nightlife options. The apartment is 5 minutes from the airport and has car rentals, supermarkets, a Walgreens, and multiple hotels and casinos within walking distance.

There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites:

Chill at the beach! It is one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you stay at Pal Mart. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and coolers for a long day at the beach.
Lunch or dinner at La Placita de Santurce, a local market with 20+ restaurants and awesome nightlife. We love Santaella restaurant, local cuisine with a modern approach in La Placita.
Shop at  The Mall of San Juan. This brand new mall is a 10-minute drive from the apartment and has excellent shops and dining options.
Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 30-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship.
Spend a day in Old San Juan. Pal Mar is a 15 min drive away from the oldest city in all of the US. There is a lot of history and great food and drinks to savor.


TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. Travel insurance is inexpensive and will reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, this will depend on what the coverage purchased covers. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase. Disclaimer: we are not associated with any travel insurance companies.

 
AMENITIES

West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler.

West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel-size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.
 

HOUSE RULES

Check-in time is at 4:00 pm
Check-out time is at 11:00 am
NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 4 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors. 
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced, and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am, no parties or noisy activities during these hours.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess; stained towels/linens will be charged.
Subletting not allowed
Do not hang towels from balcony or windows

Amazing and Beautiful
We had a wonderful time here. Our place was very nice and the view from our balcony was amazing. We we steps away from the most beautiful beach. What made our stay stress free was the customer service provided by our property manager Neysha.

The property is Amazing! Karen the supervisor help us during a very stressful time when Melanie the manager forgot to include the lockbox 4 digits pin. Melanie never respond to us during the 3 hours we were outside with all our luggage. Only one sorry for the inconvenience. Very poor service. I want to say thank you to Karen!

Great Beach Location! Steps away!
This is located in a central area. Mere steps to the beach, and within a 5-10 minute safe walk, dining, shops, spas and more. You will need to ride share or have a car for a grocery store trip. There is a convenience market nearby. The condo is well represented in pictures, the building is in need of updates, but safe and 24/7 security. They will store luggage for you if needed after checkout. The unit initially did not have an extra FOB for access, so if your party will be splitting up, arrange for that in advance. The patio is a huge asset for rain, or the evening. The pool is closed several days a week and sometimes the FOB didn't work, but was also clean.

Million Dollar View!
This updated property was clean and appeared consistent with the photos. Location right on clean and family-friendly Hobie beach was fantastic. The building was quiet with lots of amenities on the property, including a nice, large pool. The unit number was not included in the welcome email but that was only a minor inconvience upon checking in. Tons of restaurants, both authentic and touristy within walking distance from the property as well. One minor issue is that only one key fob was included which required coordination with other family members to get in and out of the property, including entering and exiting the beach. I'm sure this can be resolved with the property manager to include an extra key fob. 5 Star property! RB

Definitely will rent the same room.
This was an excellent stay. Very convenient to everything you need: beach, stores, whatever. Balcony overlooks the beach where I was able to see my family come in and out. I do have a few suggestions for the owner. The smaller bedroom where my kids slept did not have a TV so that made bed time somewhat difficult. Small TV in that bedroom will fix that issue. Also in the first shower the glass window is not long enough and it’s soaks the floor after every shower. I suggest just a longer curtain or glass. The metal beach chairs were very rusty and at times couldn’t open or close them. I suggest the room provides plastic ones. These are little things that the owner can quickly fix. Overall this was an excellent stay and we will try to rent this same exact spot.
