About this property
Forget Me Not Moonlight Blue Miners' Cottage Daylesford
Moonlight Blue Miners' cottage is a delightful, open plan, cosy and charming space for a get-away weekend. Full of light and warmth, the cottage offers a queen size bed, a Ned Kelly fireplace, a sitting room, large screen TV and cooking facilities. Its bathroom has a corner spa with overhead rain-shower. It's set in a fairy tale garden setting with a back veranda straight on to the garden. There is also another cottage Sunset Red Mudbrick cottage nestled at the back of the property in which I live with my small dog Billie.

About the host
Hosted by Catherine de Saint Phalle

My name is Catherine and I'm a novelist. I arrived in Australia in 2003 and am an Australian citizen now. Born in London, I am bilingual. My parents were French, but also part Spanish, Russian and English.
Why they chose this property
Because I fell in love with it. I used to live in Melbourne, but I left to live here full time. I love the country, there is something sacred about nature here that seems to welcome you and shelter you. I write here better than anywhere else I have lived.
What makes this property unique
It's quiet and full of charm, but so close to the Little Smoke down the hill. Daylesford is a lovely town, vibrant and warm. One can dream here, but also be part of the community. People are helpful and friendly and never make you feel you are a stranger. I can say this first hand, because I have a bit of an accent.
