Amazing view, great outdoor area, plenty of parking, spacious cottage
Amazing view, great outdoor area, plenty of parking, spacious cottage. Lots of areas to explore on foot and way of 4WD. Fishing, Card Games, laughter love and relaxation.
The weather was wild but we had an awesome stay. Fires were stacked and ready to go for us. House is well stocked with all you need for a weekend away with a great view to top it all off
The most beautiful view. Worth it just for the outdoor seating area, sitting in front of the pot belly fire watching the river in front or the wild seas to the right. Will be coming back again.
Unfortunately the power went off for 24 hrs so we had to leave as we had no means of keeping our food frozen. Otherwise we would have really enjoyed the Wild West Coast

Sorry to hear Ingrid,
yes bad storms took out 40,000 homes power supply in Tasmania and a similar amount in Melbourne Victoria at that time.
Apologies,
Grace and Michael.
We absolutely loved loved loved our stay the scenery and seclusion was just what we needed. The beds were comfortable, the sheets and towels clean and the fire pot on the deck was a lovely end to each day fishing and exploring. But… (sorry to add a but)… because there was no dishwasher, the cutlery drawer had dirty knives and forks.. and we had to rewash plates and bowls because previous guests had not washed them properly. There were also cobwebs and dust in most corners. I did a quick clean up due to my asthma and dust mites allergies, but shouldn’t have needed to. BUT all in all we had a marvellous time!! Thank you
Comfortable house with fully stocked kitchen (with every utensil you could imagine and more), two new bathrooms and a view overlooking the river and the heads that was to die for. The beds and lounge were comfortable and the dining table easily seats six. The property is mostly fenced - you can't leave your dog unattended in the yard but there's enough security to let your dog off-lead if it has relatively good recall, and it's plenty large enough for a game of ball - and it's just across the river from a quiet dog-friendly beach. Enjoy the still, clear mornings, and take amazing photos of the fiery sunsets from the Edge of the World, which is just a short walk away. We finished our stay refreshed.
Excellent property for our family wanting to get away from it all! Had everything we needed for a very relaxing holiday. The best stocked kitchen cupboards with plenty of crockery and appliances. Enjoyed playing cards in the outdoor undercover area with the wood heater keeping us warm and listening to the pounding of the ocean. The sunsets were stunning as was the view to the beach. No complaints and we will definitely be back!
Great place to stay would recommend to anyone looking for a awesome view and comfort with pretty much everything you need in one house. Spa and wood fire with a beach view highly recommended
Well set up. Clean, superb view. The house was so well equipped. Stress free check in. You know you have had a good stay when you don't want to leave. A great experience.👍🤙👍
The cottage felt like a very comfortable shack in all the right ways. The kitchen is small but we found everything we needed. We ate all our meals outside. We were lucky to have amazing weather and utilised the inside table as a prep space which worked well. The beds are very comfortable and the main bedroom is spacious. We didn't use the spa as there had not been much rainfall for many weeks which made us self concious of water usage. However, it looked inviting and we hope to use it next time we stay. The couch was comfy. The view (especially sunset) is spectacular and the outdoor fire was mesmerising at night. The peace and beauty and inspirational weather pattern along with access to Tarkine wilderness and Couta Rocks made our stay immensely enjoyable.
We loved our stay at Arthur River Spa Cottage! The place has everything you need and being pet friendly just tops it. The outdoor fire area was so great with amazing views. We saw so much wildlife around the area, including four Tassie Devils, six wombats, a bettong, and so many wallabies and pademelon. We loved the accommodation and have highly recommended it to others. We will be back!
We enjoyed a comfortable three day get away which we wish had lasted longer. Everything one requires was on hand to provide a relaxed stay. The location is spectacular and made all the more amazing by the stunning views and extraordinarily beautiful sunsets that proved the highlight of every day. We highly recommend this stay and hope to return in the not to distant future.
Very clean and well presented and spacious cottage with beautiful views over the Arthur River and Great Southern Ocean. We had Sea Eagles fly over, we had a visit from a Tiger Quoll to the lounge room door and I spotted a Tawny-crowned honeyeater which are hard to come by. Thumbs up from us
We had a great stay. Really great location. Views are remarkable. Kitchen is very well stocked. Beds are very comfortable.
Would be amazing in spring/summer with the outdoor fire/deck. Heating is improved for a winter stay.
The open fire is lovely in the living area, but it is needed if the temperature really drops. The fan in bedroom for the spa needs to be changed to one which can be blocked off when not running, as all heat disappears up it, which creates a draft. If that was done it would make a huge difference.
