Great spot - central to main restaurants / shops etc . Clean & comfortable. We had our dog Alfie with us & it was very easy with him - access to outside yard . Everything was there we needed . Would def stay again .
The property has an old but comfortable. The yard was great for our aging sheltie and had everything we needed. Nothing fancy just comfortable.

A cosy quaint property with all that you need for a comfortable getaway. Our fur baby loved the fully enclosed yard & hubby enjoyed the hooded gas BBQ. We’ll definitely be back!
The property was exactly what we needed given the purpose of our visit to Wagga.
Kate was excellent at keeping us abreast of what was going on and th property was ready for us when we arrived.
The property was central to all amenities in Wagga and a quick stroll or even quicker drive to the pool and beach or pubs and restaurants or the shops.

Loved this property. Warm and cosy. Kate was a great host and let us stay another night when our car broke down!! Thanks a million
Dog friendly (a big priority) but very run down property. The bedrooms and linen were very clean. Very thoughtful owner provided dog food in case we forgot that essential.
Bedroom’s were good, a little bit more detail in the presentation of a “older unrenovated “ would be good.

Great location but needs to be restored
This property was nothing like the images. The walls have cracks in them allowing the cold air to get into the property. The ceiling looks like it will cave in and the walls in the bathroom are so bad if you lent on it for support you would go through it. The cupboards have rats living in the and nesting. The back wall has what looks like blood on it. The entire experience was uncomfortable and unpleasant. Very disappointed with the image to reality ratio of the listing.
House was great. Nothing fancy, but a beautiful old home that has everything you need for a comfortable $ relaxing stay.
Perfect location & within walking distance to Fitzmaurice St cafes & shops. Beds were extremely comfortable & hotel quality bed linen & towels.
Great kitchen if you wanted to cook a meal, complete work full cutlery & grocery, bowls etc.
Bathroom is old, but pressure on shower was great, which is what you need.
Aircon in both bedrooms & living areas.
A really lovely, well presented house, lovely finishing touches & all at a very reasonable & affordable rate.
Would definitely stay there again.

If this property were subject to regulatory approval ( gov't etc) I/we believe it would be classified as not fit for human occupation; and not granted a license !!!

Thanks for your strongly worded review Brian. I am sorry you didn't let me know of your issues during your stay. As I am sure you saw when booking our house often enjoys five star reviews and is clearly described as an un-renovated property and is priced accordingly.
Due to it's age, the house didn't seem to heat up like some others, which was amazing in that heatwave.
The bed was so comfortable and the rooms were large, just like an old-fashioned home. I was especially intrigued by what I like to call a deliciously spooky kitchen window, covered in vines and decorated with pebbles along the windowsill - on the inside! Hubby was more delighted with the huge TV so he could keep tab on the cricket and tennis after a tiring day playing with our grandsons. In addition, Simmons St is soo quiet, I only heard one car go past in the entire week, and the sound of that was quite muted, so certainly not disturbing. A great place to stay with the charm of an old-fashioned home and the conveniences of a modern one. Plus, Woolies is only 3 blocks away. We will certainly book again.

Pauper could be a Princess
The property on approach looked abandoned, the yard was overgrown and unkept, very, off putting, were we at the right place. Making our way into the house found that it was obviously cleaned by a professional company, however the kitchen window was overgrown by a climber, the shower curtain had mould on it, the lounge needed repair, it seriously lacked some TLC. The outdoor setting not presented in a clean or inviting way and was just metres from the garbage bins. It was screaming hot and would have been nice to sit out the back, but the cobwebs and the whole area was so neglected. This potentially gorgeous little cottage needs a lot of TLC, and would become a real money spinner for its location and heritage.
The owner has grossly misrepresented this property with both the photos and description. No renovations are apparent, the furnishings are old, dirty and falling apart. The water runs brown to start with, Wagga water is fine so its a pipe issue. Cracked walls, peeling paint, dead and dirty yard. Outdoor setting was filthy. Yard not secure for small dogs. We arrived late the first night and couldn't believe how awful the property is. Too late to find somewhere else but we started the complaint/refund process with stayz. We found alternative accommodation the next day & got out of there. Contact with Kate was pointless, she just gaslights and admits nothing. Check her response to previous poor feedback. "If you'd have let me know when you arrived i could of rectified the issues" What a joke. This property would not meet standards were it to be rented so instead she rips people off with short stays. We are going to follow this up with the appropriate authorities.

This review is completely uncalled for. We enjoy many positive reviews from those who read our description and expect what they pay for. All photos are current.
I stayed 2 nights with a friend and well mannered Cavoodle. The house is very cosy, warm and comfortable on a quiet street. The back yard is secure for dogs.
We enjoyed the flat walk to the shopping centre and restaurants. Communication with the host, Kate, was excellent. I recommend this property.

Great value. Spacious, clean and homely.
I’d stay at Simmons again.
The inside house was very suitable for our needs. The exterior of the property is not fulky dog proof and is full of weeds. The exterior needs a huge weeding & removal of dead trees & the invasive maderia vine. Once the gardens are fulky maintained, this will be a great place to stay.
Pleasantly surprised with the quality and comfort provided. Location is also close enough to the main streets of town, which is convenient. Would recommend this accommodation to others, especially for those who are doing a longer stay.
