Lovely stay, Juanita was wonderful, popping in on arrival to make sure everything was ok and providing lots of site seeing and cafe tips. Would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely stay at Fairbanks Guesthouse. Juanita was wonderful with communication, the house was lovely and cosy and the beds were comfortable and warm. The house had everything we needed for a long weekend. The property location was great, close to some fantastic wineries and an easy drive to the national park. We would highly recommend. Thank you for a great stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Fairbanks Guesthouse. Juanita had the fire going when we arrived, and the house was welcoming and cosy and contained everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is peaceful and scenic, with easy access to everything the region has to offer. It is the perfect place to spend time relaxing with family or friends, and Juanita and Steve are great hosts. We really appreciated their hospitality and loved our stay.
We had a wonderful stay. The house was great. It was very well presented and had everything that you need for a long weekend. It was a very comfortable house. Juanita was great at letting us know how the check-in worked and what is around the area that we could do. The location is really nice because my children wanted to experience a country holiday. I like it as it was close to the winery and the national park. We had a great time.
Lovely rural setting. Great hosts. House was warm and inviting - little cold on our visit, so didn't get to use all the benefits of the home. Limited bathrooms / toilet facilities may create concern for multiple couples.

Beautiful stay!
We had such a lovely long weekend staying at Fairbanks and enjoyed both the farm and the surrounding area.
The farm was beautiful and so close to Girraween National Park and many wineries.
The house was so clean, neat, warm, beautiful and well presented, and had such history and charm.
The kids loved seeing the animals and it was great to experience the extra cold weather over the weekend!
We would definitely love to come back sometime.

Large house with all amenities and wonderful owner
This was such a wonderful experience for us. A group of us stayed here for a music event held nearby and the owners were very accommodating and helpful from the time we initially enquired. A wonderful period home with modern amenities, it is a bit out of town so you will need to be stocked for provisions but to look at the clear sky at night and enjoy the serenity is well worth the drive.

Lovely homestead
We loved our stay! The house was huge and even nicer than in the photos. The fire in the living room and the gas heater kept the house warm despite it being a freezing weekend in ballandean!
The house is in a great spot - located on a cattle property at the end of the road after driving past a number of wineries, and we saw kangaroos and deer every day.
Juanita was lovely and very attentive - making sure there was enough firewood because it was so cold!
Great property, fully fenced, easy access. Super quiet, cosy and warm house. Fire place, air-con and heaters to spare, we were very toasty. Very comfortable beds in beautifully decorated rooms. Plenty of space in the 4-bedroom home. Kitchen, walk-in pantry and large sun space dining room, are super equipped in need of nothing. An absolutely beautiful stay! Hostess was super efficient. This property was just what we needed!
We truly enjoyed our stay at Fairbanks Guesthouse. The only thing that could have made it better was if we had stayed longer. Juanita and Steve are fabulous hosts! Juanita let us know that the creek had gone over the crossing to the property but that they would be there to greet us and help us if needed. Turned out that our SUV was high enough, so they showed us the way across instead. The home is cozy and filled with everything you need for your stay. Waking to the birds was just what we needed on our long weekend away from Brisbane. Lots of information was on hand on how to spend the daylight hours in the Granite Belt. In the evenings, we cooked our dinner in the kitchen that had everything at hand. Lots of laughs around the kitchen table were had before we moved to the cozy livingroom with the fire roaring. With so much to explore in the region, we are already looking at the calendar for our next stay. Thank you Juanita and Steve for such a lovely weekend away!!
We stayed for a short weekend with the kids. Nicely presented, clean and very private location. Close to wineries and driving distance to town. Very nice hosts and overall great stay.
The pictures (even though lovely) don’t do the farmhouse justice, it’s such a beautiful space we didn’t want to leave. Juanita & Steve were friendly and accommodating hosts. We felt very welcome on the farm even when we were exploring beyond the farmhouse. It was cozy on freezing winter nights. Stunning location, far enough off the main roads that you felt away from it all but still very close to Ballandean, wineries and Girraween. A great place for your granite belt adventure. We are missing those farm fresh eggs and Rexy the dog...hope to return soon! Thank you!
We had a great time here. The kids enjoyed wandering down to the creek. The house was very clean with everything we needed. The fire was great for keeping us warm! Thanks heaps.

Such a wonderful location providing amazing views any time of day. The peace and quite allows you to relax in the country setting. It is also nice and local to many wineries and sites in the Granite Belt. We try and make this a regular each year!

A Perfect Place to Relax
Fairbanks is a wonderful house & we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay! (I did not want to leave). 3 great sized bedrooms with lovely, comfy beds. 2 bathrooms inside + outdoor loo. It's a large, sprawling farmhouse and there's plenty of room to spread out and take in the ambience and fresh country air. A local wine tour company picked us up for a day trip and then dropped us home which was brilliant. We cooked meals in the well equipped kitchen. We relaxed with our wine purchases in front of a crackling log fire. Juanita was a perfect host. We will definitely be back!
