THE SAND CASTLE on the Dutton Way

Welcome to The Sand Castle beach side house with views over the bay of Portland. It is a fantastic place to stay for a family and the fishing enthusiast with ample parking for large fishing boats.
With full views of the ocean, beach walks and open sea fishing all are only within 40 metres of the house. Whales frolic as they pass on their way to the Southern ocean.
The house is only a 3 minute drive away from Portland centre, where there is very good dining and shopping facilities. With a small shop available within walking distance along the beach road for your basic needs.
The house is pleasantly furnished with 3 bedrooms which sleeps 9 comfortably. 2 bathrooms feature double showers. There are full disabled facilities including a large ramp out the front entrance. Lock up yard for dogs, boats and cars. A large lock up entertainment facility featuring a large TV, bar, pool table, and BBQ facilities with a dining setting offers security for you possessions, makes this house suitable for families and fishermen.
It has a large family room with a flat screen TV, also a small relaxing TV room. A new light and airy modern kitchen featuring a dishwasher has been recently installed. Heating is by both electric heat bank and a very comfortable wood heater (wood supplied). Cooling for those warm days by air conditioning and each bedroom has ceiling fans.
Fresh linen is supplied and laundry facilities plus a freezer make your stay worry free, it is all there for you.
The property is registered with the Glenelg Shire for 9 people to stay. No booking fees and no additional fees apply, all prices are inclusive.

Great facilities for fishers. Hard stand area at front accommodates larger trailers/boat parking. Shed/recreation room at rear with television, pool table, bbq and couches all great for entertainment off the water.

Beautiful location and property.

Property is comfortable, clean and in a beautiful location. It has everything you need to have a wonderful time away. We travelled with another family - 4 adults and 4 children total. Plenty of space and the games room is a winner for the kids! We will be back for sure.

Hidden gem perfect for the family

Our stay was perfect, everything was exactly as described. Communication with owner was fantastic and quick. House was well stocked and had enough room for the whole family. As we are into motorsport the house was also great as it had enough room out the front to park the race car transport trailer. Would happily stay here anytime we are visiting Portland.

Clean, cosy and cost effective

We had a wonderful stay at the property. It was clean and well equipped with everything we need. Kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves with the various games in the games room. The cost was very reasonable too. We would definitely book again if we come back. Highly recommended.

There is not a thing we needed, that wasn't in this house! It is so well stocked, and space for everyone! Loved the 2 bathrooms. And the sound of the waves was just beautiful. We will be back 🙂

We stay there as is big enough for our family, The house is excellent, being a fisherman if weather turns bad many things to do are provided for whole family, everything needed is provided saving loading car with towels, linen blankets etc along with freezer, washing machine and plenty room to park boat

It’s a perfect place to accommodate 9 people and a gaming room at the back for fun activities. The only downside to this the wifi doesn’t reach the the gaming room but other than that everything in my own experience is perfect thanks

Dutton Way

First time using Stayz. Great communication from the owner and accommodating. Clean and tidy place with everything you need. Games room was a big plus which our kids loved. Great location. Only negative was the weather and that we couldn’t stay longer due to other commitments. Loved it.

The property is well suited to a family or 2 for a short time away. It was neatly kept and had all the necessary things. Although winter it had a beautiful wood fire and heater to each room with extra blankets. The shed area was great for playing pool and watching the footy.
