Gem of a place!

Great location, perfect for families to access nearby restaurants, the strand and waterpark. Very comfortable apartment with great beds, balcony with bbq and all you need for your stay. Couldnt fault the place.

We enjoyed our stay on The Strand and would definitely chose to stay here again. Great spot with the waterpark just across the road and short walk to eateries. Andy was a wonderful host.

Great little unit, great location!

Unit is in an older complex but is well maintained and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Kids loved the toy chest! Host communications are spot on and timely, which is much appreciated. You really can't beat the location if you have kids who want to go to the waterpark!

This apartment was perfect for us. Looking at the beach and waterpark from our balcony was amazing. It was so close to shops, attractions and restaurants. Everything in the apartment worked, but it could do with an update

The unit was spacious, clean and well equipped - I was especially impressed with provision, not only of coffee machine, but of enough capsules to last the two of us for 10 days. Also great central location on The Strand. Finally, host Andy communicated with us in a timely and helpful manner from start to finish. Overall, a great stay. Thanks Andy.

The apartment is right on the Strand, centrally located to all eateries and cafes. We were able to watch the Anzac parade from our balcony.The property is fully equipped and every detail has been taken care of. Communication with the owner was amazing. He responded very fast .

The location was super and easy walking distance to everything

The apartment was great although the floors weren’t very clean - found shards of glass near the table - two bedroom were great although we had to sleep one person on the sofa in the living room which was okay except there was no curtains on the windows which meant that person was woken up every morning when the Sun came up

Great Location

Pictures were exactly how the apartment was. Big enough for 2 adults & 2 children to relax. Great location for the kids as water park was right across the road. Close to the city and restaurants

I live in Sydney but find myself visiting Townsville regularly to catch up with friends and to enjoy the North Queensland lifestyle. When not in town I make my apartment on The Strand available to travellers. Hope you enjoy the ambience and convenience of my apartment as much as I do.
My hobby is collector of music videos, mostly relating to bands that I grew up with from the rock & disco eras of the seventies and eighties. Also of African music but living in Oz you don't get any real exposure to the great talent available.
I love good concerts but having hundreds of concert videos of my own this sets a sort of high standard in my mind as to what is a great, memorable concert and what is just an OK one. My top concerts have been: Niles Rogers & Chic in Sydney, Joe Cocker on the Gold Coast, Angelique Kidjo and Salif Keita both at the Sydney Opera House, Ricky Martin in Sydney, Hot Chocolate in Sydney, Lionel Richie in Sydney, U2 in Sydney.

Why they chose this property

Many properties listed here suggest they are on The Strand but many actually aren't. Also The Strand is a long street and you could end up having to drive into town. This apartment is central, just a short level* walk to all the key attractions.
*of course, except for the lookout on top of Castle Hill.
The balcony overlooking The Strand lends itself to a very relaxing time, especially in the evenings with a gentle sea breeze making for very pleasant atmosphere.
The unit has fans and quality air conditioning in the living area and two bedrooms.
