Located in Nelson Bay, on a quiet cul de sac, L'Olivette Bed & Breakfast is 10 minutes walk to local beaches, town centre and restaurants, and within a few minute walk to the Tomaree National Park.

L'OLIVETTE Lavender Room opens up to its own private balcony.

The room is spacious and comfortable with raked ceilings and exposed beams. It is set with a queen size bed, ensuite with shower and access to a balcony through large French doors.

This place is a little gem. ( not so little) can't fault anything about the hosts, our room, the breakfast with home made french pastries, jam & yoghurt, cleanliness or the ambience. Just delightful! I wanted to stay!
Beautiful garden where the two local lorikeets come to feed.

This was a wonderful find! The property was unique, beautifully French (as were the hosts!) who spent time telling us about the area and ensuring we were comfortble in their lovely home. Martine made an amazing breakfast with homemade breads and jams. Highly recommend!

Hosts Yves and Martine were friendly, the private bedroom with own bathroom, patio, and good bed was very comfortable and beautifully decorated, the breakfast with home baked pastries was excellent and extra welcoming touches were evidence of our hosts thoughtfulness.

The room was spacious, beautifully done out, clean and quiet. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. I was very disappointed I could not stay for the famous French breakfast so many others rave about but I had to be up and gone before 6.00am. Next time!

A lovely if short respite from everything.

The perfect Mediterranean paradise

Martine and Yves' property is spectacular! 20 min walk down to the beach and restaurants. The home itself is gorgeous and everything from the check in, to the breakfast and the friendliness is kind, considerate and the epitome of hospitality.

Wonderful stay!

Loved our stay at L’Olivette; our room was lovely, lots of thoughtful touches, plenty of room and outside balcony, and Yves and Martine were great hosts. Delicious breakfast overlooking a lovely garden …we didn’t want to leave! Great location for beaches, restaurants and exploring the area. Will definitely be back for another taste of France!

“The Lavender Room”

L’Olivette is the most beautiful B & B. The Lavender room is a delight to stay in … everything is so thoughtfully provided with extra little touches to make it so comfortable and relaxing. Will hopefully be able to return and enjoy staying there again, and enjoy the warm hospitality of Martine and Yves.

L Ollivette a little French Chateau in Nelsons Bay

Beautiful little piece of Provence in Nelson Bay. Quiet area within walking distance to the beach and shops.Yves and Martine were the perfect hosts very warm and hospitable.The room beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean & I am very fussy couldn't fault it.Fresh home baked bread rolls and brioche served with butter and jams. Beautifully presented fresh fruit plate yoghurt and muesli along with fresh coffee every morning.Delightful place to stay would happily recommend LOlivette and happily return.

JUST PERFECT

If you are going to Nelsons Bay treat yourself to an experience not just a bed for the night! My husband and I had never stayed in b n b accommodation and the hosts Martine & Yves are excellent hosts. The whole experience was beautiful. I was there with my husband for my birthday and to attend a sport event. The choice of decor and being in someones home as a guest was the best experience. The breakfast is so friendly and delicious. We will be back and it certainly sets a high standard. We could have been anywhere in the world and it was private and friendly. Good access to a nice simple Papa Franco and Thai shop (both within walking distance). Highly recommend.

Yves and Martine are the perfect hosts and their property is delightful. They have obviously devoted a lot of time and energy to providing a wonderful experience for their guests.The area is very quiet and the room was well appointed and comfortable.The breakfast was exceptional with the majority all the offerings hand made, with the pastries in particular being much better and fresher than from a bakery. The handmade yoghurt was the best we’ve tasted.Easy and pleasant conversation during the entire stay made this a very pleasant stay.Highly recommended when considering a stay in the Nelson Bay area.

Wonderful

An absolute hidden gem. Loved staying here, feels like a little piece of Provence. Martine’s french breakfast was wonderful. Also close enough to take a lovely walk to Shoal Bay. The room was very comfortable. Highly recommend and hope to be back again. Thanks again, Yves and Martine!

Olivette stay

Hosts Eve's & Martine have created a wonderful environment for a getaway. The unit is clean, comfortable & handy to amenities, and the breakfast is mostly homemade, tasty & just what you need to get you through the morning. Would stay her again
