Blue Patch- Pet Friendly

Blue Patch, a well known Culburra beach house for families, couples and pets with an average 4.8 star rating and close to everything.

Blue Patch is a spacious& delightful older style house decorated both inside and outside in beach blue & garden themes, eclectic in style, with polished floorboards and decorative rugs throughout. There is also a fully secure, large leafy backyard , and separate, detached rumpus room in the backyard ( with table tennis and various games). Ideal for couples, families, or a group of friends and your 4-legged companion.

The house is perfectly laid out with a large foyer off which there are 4 bedrooms all tastefully decorated. There are two bedrooms with queen-size beds, the third bedroom has a double bed, while the fourth has a bunk bed, ( bottom bed is double). One bathroom, with shower over bath and 2 separate toilets. One of the toilets is located near the laundry and outdoor verandah. The bedrooms have, mattress protectors, covered doonas and pillows however if guests would like bed linen and towels this is at an additional cost of $50 per bedroom and includes bathtowels for the number of guests for the duration of the stay. Please note that this is not included in the quoted price.

The house is an open plan layout, with a fully equipped kitchen ( including microwave and dishwasher), a dining area and a large living room with sliding doors leading out to a timber decking and large private yard and garden. The house is not air conditioned but we do have ceiling fans in the 2 queen bedrooms and open plan living area , plus pedestal/tower fans for use in other bedrooms as needed.

Access to and throughout the house requires negotiating 3 steps. The lounge/kitchen open area is sunken , and three steps down from the bedrooms and bathroom area. The verandah at the back has two access points to the back yard, one involves 7 steps the other access only 3 steps then walking down a bark pathway to the backyard.

The garage attached to the house is not available for guests use, with car parking in the driveway or at the front of the house. There is a garage in the backyard, accessible to guests that serves as a games room with table tennis , darts and storage for an array of family games, outdoor chairs, dog beds etc.

The verandah decking is partially covered and surrounded by large leafy trees, visited each morning by an array of colourful parrots. There is a 4 burner barbecue on the verandah, outdoor dining setting and cane deck chairs for your comfort. Dine inside or outside on the deck overlooking the garden.

There is a fully equipped laundry with washing machine and clothes dryer.

A portable cot and high chair are provided.
Doona's, pillows quilts, blankets provided for all bedrooms.
Bathroom toiletries provided ( bath-gel, hand-wash, shampoo, tissues, toilet paper)
Bed Linen and bathtowels can be provided at $50 per bedroom. Bedroom arrangements include 2 queen , 1 double and the 4th bedroom is a bunk arrangement with single above double. Bathtowels provided based on guest numbers.

Child and adult table/card games, and an array of outdoor ball games,
Equipped pantry for guests to use including tea/coffee/ sugar and basic condiments plus coffee machine and roasting beans.
Pet friendly accessories - dog beds for indoor and outdoor use, doggy beach towels, stainless steel food bowls, beach toys, healthy treats and an array of grooming products and shampoos.

Also this is a pet - friendly property, openly stated as such in our listing title. Therefore if you or your guests suffer from pet allergies then this is not a suitable property and suggest you look at properties that do not accept pets. Our cleaning is of the highest standard, but we cannot guarantee zero hair on the property/surrounds and it is unrealistic to expect same.

LOCATION: 2.5 hours from Sydney and 3 hours from Canberra

This is truly the perfect holiday setting for every age group, pet friendly and situated between a beautiful lake and two un-spoilt golden sandy beaches.

THINGS TO DO

Simply grab your towel and walk down to either of the beautiful golden sand beaches, Culburra and Warrain. Activities include swimming , windsurfing, snorkeling, surfing and fishing. Kayaks and surfboards are available for hire from the local surf school.

Alternatively take in the native bird life at Lake Wollumboola a great place for sailing, windsurfing and canoeing. Blue Patch is nestled between all 3 , with the two beaches and lake all only a 5 minute walk away.

At Crookhaven Heads, the northern end of Culburra, you can follow a dog friendly walking trail, to see the historic Crookhaven Heads Lighthouse. Another great viewing platform for whale and dolphin spoting is the headland between Culburra and Warrain beaches known as Penguin Head.

Great locations for fishing are Crookhaven River, Greenwell Point & Orient Point .

The local attractions include Callala Beach and Callala Bay . At Currarong, you'll find many more secluded white sandy beaches, dog friendly seaside bush trails and walks including gorgeous Honeymoon Bay. Take the trail to Point Perpendicular Lighthouse and some of the bays around the coastal terrain to enjoy great scenery across Jervis Bay. All of this within an easy 10min drive from Culburra Beach.

Gourmet food and great coffee is now available in Culburra, while delicious seafood is available at Greenwell Point. For those who enjoy wine, the Shoalhaven area boasts some great wineries all an easy drive from Culburra. Spend a day and take the Shoalhaven wine trail!

There are 2 National parks within easy reach of Culburra Beach, Booderree and Jervis Bay
National Parks offering fantastic bush walks, isolated beaches and bays.

Biking around Culburra is very easy, and there are great scenic bike tracks around the area at Jervis Bay and Callala Bay.

Back at the house you can relax in the hammock, read a good book in the deck chairs, partake in a game of table tennis or simply take in the ambience of surroundings.

Yes we ARE pet friendly

We know that your dogs are part of the family and whilst they will love the fully enclosed back yard, they are most welcome to lounge around on the timber decking and come into the house and be part of family activities when you are there. A variety of indoor and outdoor dog beds are provided, along with drinking and food bowls, a box of toys, dog beach towels. Spare collars, ID tages and leads are also available in case you forget to bring with you. There are also some lovely complementary natural dog foods, treats and shampoos to start with so your dog really knows he is on holidays!
