The Cottages at Madeira Beach are a hard to find treasure across from the Gulf of Mexico. This delightful complex is located just steps from the white sandy beach of Madeira Beach.

There are 7 single home style cottages arranged in a quaint, well maintained courtyard. A beautiful heated pool with spa jets and a BBQ area are located at the opposite end of the property. The pool side Tiki Huts spend shade and are great for family and friends gathering, playing games or just relax. 2 washers and dryers are available as well as a shared shed storing some beach chairs and beach toys. Each Cottage has its own little patio and a parking spot. Free WiFi provided.

Close to the beach but property needs work

The location close to the beach was the best part. The other perks were the pool and having a private patio. The interior needs some repairs and the entire unit needs an upgrade. All furniture needs replacing and rearranging the layout of the small space would help. All the cookware was beat up and the toaster needs replacing asap as it was a safety issue because it would burn your skin to touch it after using. The bathroom floor/rugs need replacing, smells of mold. When it rains, the entire patio and common area out front of the end units floods 2-3"due to a clogged drainage system. The bedroom has evidence of a leaking roof. The beach was beautiful but this cottage needs work.

Beacg and sun, seafood, Johns Pass and all within walming distance.

Cute but did not stay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We pulled into this rental on the side of it and I looked and immediately saw A swarm of bees going into a small hole inside of the wall. Which usually indicates a hive. We went into the unit and there were a few bees inside the unit. I called the property management company and reported it and asked to be switched to another unit or receive a refund. I was told there were not any other units available and they would be sending a pest removal person and a refund was not possible. We waited 30 minutes and pest removal showed up and sprayed inside the hole with wasp spray. After I witnessed an improper removal of the bees I called back again and spoke to another person. I explained that I had a 10-year-old child who was allergic to many types of insect stings and asked for another unit or a refund. This new person happened to know that they did have an opening in the building next to me so we stayed in that one. The unit next to bee unit was larger and they did not charge me for an upgrade. The unit was mostly clean. There was a weird flooring situation in the bathroom where they just covered exposed wood with a dirty rug. The sofa was dirty and disgusting. Had to put a sheet over it. Everything else was fine. The reason I will not ever be staying in these cottages again is that there is not a deadbolt lock from inside the unit. The doorhandles have combination codes on the outside and automatically lock every time they are shut. Which is fine, but I am a female with a female child and prefer to have the added security of being able to lock myself in to wherever it is I am staying. So every night I did have a bit of anxiety about not feeling secure enough in this unit. I thought legally you had to do this but I am not familiar with laws in the state of Florida or for properties that are not actual hotels.

Quiet, Peaceful, Perfect Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect for a short staycation. Was able to walk to the beach multiple times a day, the pool was perfect, and the walk to John's Pass was very short. The staff was very proactive with communication. We had everything we needed! We'll definitely come back :)

Short but expensive

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We checked in at 3PM and left at 7AM the next morning. Large dogs roaming off leash. Pool had a dark ring around it and felt unclean. Issues with toilet not filling properly. $900+ for 16 hours. Totally unrefundable.
