Beautiful home, all the facilities you could need, table tennis and games etc for the kids, comfortable beds, short walk down to the beach. Approx 5 mins drive from the town. Great for people looking to get away and appreciate nature. Eco friendly and off grid, so you do need to be mindful of power, water and gas usage, but we didn't have any trouble and there were 7 of us (including 5 kids that need constant reminders to be conservative). Our host was lovely and communication was great. We really enjoyed our stay. Would reccomend.

Beautiful views, peaceful, quiet & so comfortable!
The residence was on top of a hill with a beautiful view of the bay and surroundings, and was very comfortable and clean with all the mod con's we needed to make for a very enjoyable stay.
Well appointed property that could comfortably accomodate a large family group. Very comfortable beds. Really appreciated that it was off grid but with full range of appliances. Fabulous efficient combustion heater and west facing windows made this so cosy in winter. We loved the peace of the location in the middle of low native scrub, superb views of the bay, glorious sunsets and close to the many attractions of the Wild West coast of Eyre Peninsula. It was particularly special to be able to have our dog stay with us.

Lovely Home
We were disappointed to find out after we had paid that the bbq was unusable. The fridge and freezer were very dirty and there was pet hair everywhere. Cleaning standard overall was poor.

I am sorry you were disappointed, there had been a recall on a certain part of our new SMEG BBQ that we are waiting for SMEG to replace. We will put procedures into place to ensure it is at an acceptable level of cleanliness.
This property is one of the best pet friendly places I've stayed at. I really like how the house has all the living areas together on the ground floor, bedrooms, bathroom with toilet & another separate toilet, kitchen & lounge room. Upstairs inside BBQ area with table tennis table, if you choose to use. All nice and clean. We were very lucky we had great weather with a beautiful sunset on the horizon, with the lights of Venus Bay and the water glistening, was really beautiful. I didn't realise that Venus Bay had cliffs on the other side of the town, you can do a couple of different walks during the day, 5 minute drive from the house, one around the bay, and then drive up the scenic view road, go for a walk along the cliffs. Listen to the waves crashing, fantastic.

Not as expected
This property is obviously well built and well appointed from the point of view of its fixtures. It is spacious, has a modern kitchen and bathroom, comfortable furniture and access to all the media you could want. However, as a holiday rental it did not meet standards consistent with these attributes. The approach to and arrival at the property was typicalmof a family shackmin the scrub and from the moment we opened the door we became aware of its shortcomings. While the basic cleaning had been done, every drawer and cupboard needs a good wipe out, there was no soap or handtowels in the bathrooms but there was shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We paid extra for linen to be provided and it was of a very poor quality as were the beds and mattresses. There was no clean dishcloth in the kitchen. We had to use a pad that had been used by some/many passed occupants. Some of the pillows had no protectors on them and were also very cheap and shabby. The rotting couch on the front verandah was not calling to me and while the views of the bay were lovely, there was really nowhere at the front of the house (downstairs/outside) to sit and enjoy it. To be fair, it was probably the wrong choice for us, 2 grey nomad couples on a road trip but compared to other accommodation for a similar price along the west coast of Eyre Peninsula that we utilised on this holiday, it was not up to standard. The little things can make a big difference.
Beautiful home and amazing location, awesome views of the bay, property is well kept with everything you could need provided within the house. Had a great time with the family and would highly recommend this property to anyone interested in staying in the area. Loved it.
This property has a wonderful view, and is very well appointed with everything we needed. 5 stars!
Perhaps we got lucky with the amount of sunlight, but despite the warnings about conserving power, we managed on solar power alone, even though we ran the reverse cycle heater each morning and evening.
My only complaint is that the requirement to clean the property before leaving is a bit of a pain, and took quite some time. I suggest getting a cleaner after each visit and charging a little more cleaning fee.
On our arrival to the property we found the kitchen and its utensils dirty even some parts un washed. But regarding the property location , views, interaction with the owner , overall house, it was very nice and comfortable
We really enjoyed "Dolphin". Had a problem with the combustion heater, it billowed smoke into whole room. Could not use. Apart from that everything was great.
