John was a great guest at the Holiday House - visiting for a week to catch up with family members in Ingham. The house was left in a very clean, neat and tidy state. John was very understanding when the electricity supply at the house was interrupted for a day due to maintenance by the electricity company. I would welcome John and his group again sometime in the future and can highly recommend John to other hosts.
It was a pleasure to host Kim and her group. The house was left in a very neat and tidy state. I have no hesitation in recommending Kim to other hosts.
We only stayed overnight but had a lovely time. Would definitely visit again. The property was great. It was clean, had absolutely everything we needed, and fantastic location

I loved all the little extras that helped the kids enjoy their stay even more and helped to keep them happy and active. The beds were amazingly comfy and there was plenty of space with 5 adults and 5 children, it really was a home away from home with the children asking when we can go back.
Everything you could need. Very clean. Would highly recommend for families.

Thank you for your review Peter and for leaving the house clean and tidy. I hope you enjoyed your brief visit to Forrest Beach and look forward to you visiting at the Holiday House in the future.
Lovely location, easy walk to shops and beach. Plenty of room to lounge around, play boardgames or do a puzzle. Great undercover area downstairs, and perfect yard space for cricket, bocce and riding bikes.
Well equipped kitchen & linen. Everything we needed for an extended family getaway.
House had heaps of space and the provision of baby things was a great bonus. It was clean and was good to come and go from walking on the beach and coming back from swimming holes

About the host
Hosted by Maureen Lahtinen
Maureen and and her husband Steve are your hosts. This house was our family home and it is still used for family gatherings as we have a large family. We live at the beach so we are close by should you have any problems during your visit. It pleases me to be able to provide this large holiday house for family gatherings as I know it can sometimes be difficult to find suitable accommodation but at the same time, I also welcome smaller numbers of guests who are looking for a place to escape and relax.
Why they chose this property
This house is very spacious and comfortable and provides everything one would need to get away without having to worry about what to pack - clothes and food is all you need to bring. The house is approximately 500m from the beach and provides boat ramps to give access for those wanting to fish on the Great Barrier Reef or around the islands in the Palms group just off the coastline. It is just a short trip to Dungeness where boaties can shoot across the Channel to Hinchinbrook Island for a day trip. It is centrally located in the Hinchinbrook district and is a great spot to stay whilst checking out the attractions of the area including Wallaman Falls, Taylors Beach, Lucinda, Broadwater National Park, Paluma National park and falls and Crystal Creek swimming holes.
What makes this property unique
Very spacious accommodation at a very reasonable price. Fully equipped with everything one needs to have a great break away. Located in a great part of Queensland with great fishing and scenery close by. Great spot for relaxing at the beach and facilities available to help make your stay trouble-free.
