Oasis is a quaint three bedroom Queenslander style cottage situated only 5-10 minutes walk to the beach, shops, cafes, bars, hotel and a major supermarket.
Set back from the road and surrounded by lush gardens, Oasis offers guests an opportunity to relax, catch the breeze on the large verandahs and listen to the sounds of birds and the surf. Oasis has two bathrooms and two toilets for five guests so no waiting!
A Baby Webber on the verandah makes alfresco meals an easy option or a short walk to the main street offers a tasty selection of cuisines.
About a seven minute walk takes you to the magnificent Norries Headland where marine life can be spotted from your birds eye view from the headland, or watch the many surfers taking advantage of the incoming swells. Cabarita offers one of the best surfing beaches on the coast.
The cycling track from Pottsville to Kingscliff is just across the road so hire a bike and see where it takes you....Casuarina, Salt, Kingscliff, Hasting, have great shops and eating venues.
Oasis is close to many activities that the coast has to offer, take your pick, but also offers a relaxed atmosphere for guests to just do nothing!
We do accept dogs only after approval by the owner and extra charges may apply. Dogs are not allowed inside the house or on furniture, no food or bones to be eaten on the verandah. All droppings must be picked up and placed into a plastic bag and disposed of in red bin please. Allowing your Furry Friend at Oasis is a privilege not a right so please respect Oasis so other guests can enjoy. The owner supplies all linen and towels but you will need to bring your own beach towel. Enjoy
If you use the BBQ please clean the grill and the inside otherwise a fee may be charged. Your co operation is much appreciated.

Yes the bbq is a conundrum for the weber people. They cant find the cause of the dysfunction but are working on it. Thank you for bringing my attention to the issue with the bbq. Hopefully we have an answer soon.
I do love my mate, but not enough to share a bed with him . I did have to make a second bed up to sleep in, but all bedding was easily located and stripped before we left. A beautiful old home that was lovely to stay in.

This is our second stay and it was as good as the first. The house was spotlessly clean on arrival, we could not think of anything else that was required. The house has lots of character, is comfortable with wonderful large outside living space and very well equipped kitchen. Love the house ... love the area!! Thanks Gayle - a fabulous place.
We are regular visitors to this lovely old Queenslander house. It is set back from the street with plantings that guarantee privacy. The home is equipped with all you need for a relaxing stay. The sun shines on the outdoor lounges in the mornings. Perfect for a read and a cuppa!
The walk to the beach, restaurants and shops is short and flat. Perfect for a relaxing get away.

About the host
Hosted by Gayle Haglund
I love this area and like to share all this area had to offer. I grew up in Melbourne but moved to the Northern Rivers in 1979 with my husband and daughter to build our family home and settle. My son was born a few years later and we have involved our family in community events over the years. My interests are bush walking, conservation, horses and reading and sharing this beautiful area. Starting to feel like a local now!
Why they chose this property
I moved into the coastal area of Tweed in 1988 and bought a block of land. Shortly after I moved a house from Brisbane to its current position and renovated it over the years. Oasis is a wonderful lifestyle property where conservation, renovation and landscaping has given me bucket loads of gratification. The beauty of this area still delights me.
What makes this property unique
The 'Queenslander' has always held a special interest for me as coming from Melbourne this type of architecture is not seen due to the difference in climate. The outside lifestyle appeals to me and generous verandahs make this possible. These old Queenslanders were referred to as 'the old growth forests' as they hold valuable timbers e.g. cedar, silky oak and hoop pine. The preservation and conservation of these homes helps to keep our history alive and allow us to appreciate their design for comfortable living. Oasis is a quaint beach cottage which sits snuggly into its environment.
