Want to wake up to some mountain magic? Along with a queen size bed and full private bath, the queen bedroom has a picture window to soak up the view of trees and sky as they extend towards the horizon. Also wonderful for viewing the stars at night as you go to sleep. The 2nd bedroom has a full bed and the 3rd bedroom has two twin beds. Each room is equipped with reading lamps and ceiling fans. A queen-size sleeper sofa is in the living room with extra sheets and blankets .
The well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar has pots, pans, dishes, glasses, mugs, utensils, coffee pot, toaster, fridge/freezer, oven/stove and opens into the dining room full of natural light.
Cable TV and Wi-Fi are available along with an assortment of DVDs and other games.
The downstairs portion of Avondale Mountain offers 2 additional bedrooms each with a full size bed. A ping pong table, dining/card table, full bathroom and Keurig coffee maker station are provided for your enjoyment and convenience.
Enjoy the privacy of a large, fenced backyard while playing on your very own mountain top 'playground’. In summer months our garden can often provide salad veggies, aromatic herbs and hopefully some berries. Fun for kids of all ages to pick and enjoy. We now also have a smokeless fire-pit for our guests to enjoy.
Our house is in the mountains, surrounded by forest, in one of the most biodiverse regions of the planet. Bugs and bears are part of nature. We do our best to live with them in harmony and appreciation.
Many adventures await you in Asheville, North Carolina!
Linens/towels are provided – and there is a washer/dryer available for use when you need it. All beds and pillows have allergenic coverings.

About the host
Hosted by Karen

Our family enjoyed living in this home for 5 years before deciding to move into town. Karen has 2 daughters, works as a registered nurse, loves bike riding and fostering animals.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with Avondale Mountain because of its natural scenery, peaceful atmosphere and it's surprisingly close to downtown. Being able to walk to Shoji isn't too bad either!
