Ponsonby also has great public transportation links. Catch the Inner Link or Outer Link , which run every 10 minutes, to get to Britomart or the CBD.
Nearby attractions • Ponsonby Road holds dozens of bars and restaurants • Ponsonby Central (shopping and dining) • Ponsonby Social Club • Herne Bay beach (1.6km away) • Western Park • Cox’s Bay (30 minute walk) • Close to all central attractions (only a 30 minute walk from CBD!)

Other Things to Note: Please note: this is a heritage three-level villa built in early 1900s and there can potentially be some noise from other tenants. We have taken all possible soundproofing precautions, however, wooden floors do mean there can be noise from guests on other levels from time-to-time. Thanks for understanding!

We had stayed upstairs the previous year but this flat was more spacious with a great outdoor seating area and a great kitchen.
The bathroom was attached to a bedroom which was a bit annoying but we coped. We hope to come back next year.

Hi Tricia,
Thank you very much for your kind words.
We are really happy to read you enjoyed your stay and definitely hope we can host you again in the future!
This property is better than the photographs would suggest. Everything is in great working order, the kitchen is the best equipped that we have come across recently, the furnishings were extremely clean and relatively new and the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. We stayed for over five weeks, during lockdown 2020 and loved the space and the light. And there’s a great surprise waiting for you when you go out on the rear terrace. Enjoy your stay.
Good quiet location, walkable distance to restaurants & cafes. Didn’t expect the steep steps to get to the front door. Made it tricky handling luggage in the rain. Very slippery. No indication of this in the photos. The noise from the people living above us was loud and woke everyone up between 4am - 7am. We could hear them talking. Also the only shower is in the ensuite - again not in the photos- but workable. The villa was nicely decorated, warm with Air conditioner & very clean. Beds very comfortable. Overall lovely place & would come back.

Disliked: Amenities, communication
Location was good but there were so many things that could improve your stay. The internet was very intermittent and therefore no tv half the time and when it was going it continually cut in and out and there was no other entertainment for when weather was not good.
The outside was covered in leaves and very dangerous once it got wet and no broom in property to sweep it. No instructions for any of the appliances, no extra blankets for bed and bathroom was not suitable for more than one couple or one person. Furniture was very uncomfortable for older person. So disappointed in our stay.
Although everything about the flat was wonderful, and the amenities were great, the main problem is the noise from the upstairs flat, caused by inconsiderate occupants, which we experienced over two weekends.
This is the only reason we would not stay again.
Somewhat bureaucratic booking process but worth it in the end. Very handy to Ponsonby Road and inner Auckland. Exceptionally well equipped kitchen. TV is digital only so have your passwords handy. Single bathroom is ensuite to one of the bedrooms so a little awkward for two couples. Heaps of indoor living space and private deck.
