About this property
Wattagan Homestead in the Wallaroo wine region
Enjoy exclusive use of Wattagan Homestead and the surrounding property with three separate living areas (formal sitting room, library and separate family room for the kids); huge chef's kitchen (double ovens) and a dining table. Six bedrooms (four with queen beds, one with a king size bed, one with a double bed and a child’s wooden cot – not a travel cot) and three bathrooms (two with large
bathtubs).
When it's time to dine, sit down in our dining room complete with a blazing fire and comfortable sofas. The sitting room is a magic place for guests to relax or perhaps retreat to the homestead’s library.
Outside, there's your own private courtyard or sit on the front verandah and enjoy the homestead's stunning views across the Murrumbidgee River valley to the Brindabella Mountains from the front lawn. Tennis court. Wineries and restaurants nearby. You can park in the driveway.
So, whether you're in the nation's capital to work, to visit the Gallery, enjoy Floriade in Spring or here with the kids to 'do' Canberra why not combine a stay in the country with a visit to the city?
Wallaroo is a well-known for its vineyards and wineries and is at the heart of the cool climate wine growing district on the outskirts of Canberra. They're well worth a visit along with local restaurants and cafes.
Outside, views forever across the Brindabellas and 200 acres to explore.
