Perfect Winter Getaway!!!

The property was amazing! The communication with the owner was prompt and great! The property is so cozy and you feel tucked away in a winter wonderland. Every where you look were snow covered trees and the windows brought the outside in. Fabulous stay and can’t wait to come back in the summer to explore! Only critic would be a stronger wifi signal and a smart tv, but considering you’re high in the mountains it’s to be expected. Still would book again!

Beautiful property but terrible manager and owner.

Where to even start.. The whole process of trying to stay here was ruined from the beginning. We arrived to the house only to find out that the code that was given was incorrect. So we then tried to get in touch with the property manager at no avail, we finally got in touch with someone at Evolve. They also tried getting in contact with the owner and the property manager, again no luck. So after over an hour of waiting in the car in front of the house they finally told us that we could go get a hotel for the night. The issue with that was that the nearest hotel with available rooms was 45 min away. The next morning we got up bright and early to go try and enter the property again but now they had closed part of the Mt down due to snow so we were not allowed to even get to the property but if we had been able to enter the day before we would have been fine and it wouldn't have changed any of our plans. We were now stuck in a casino town with nothing to do but gamble which is not what we drove 9 hours to do. So we are now down basically 2 days all because we could not enter the house when we were originally scheduled. It is now the next evening and we are finally able to enter the property but wait there's more! The main source of heat to this place is fire places, no big deal because I grew up with them so I know how to operate one. We get both of them going and start to warm up a bit when I go to walk by the basement to see smoke rolling up the stairs. I run down to the whole basement full of smoke because the basement fireplace is not vented properly and not allowing the fire to get air or for the smoke to escape. I then had to open every window in the house to try and get the smoke out (mind you it is about 10 degrees outside). So now that the house is freezing we decided to go eat and try and warm up. We return a couple hours later to the house still smelling like smoke but at least decent enough to try and get some sleep for at least one night of this rental but now with only 1 living room fireplace and a couple floor heaters. Now for the final straw, we wake up in the middle of the night to no power and the house being just barely above 50 degrees. We finally gave up from trying to enjoy any bit of this vacation, loaded up the car and started our way home. I'm not sure about you but I feel some reimbursement for the trip is fair but after weeks of arguing with Evolve and the property owner they are not refunding anything... DON'T STAY HERE!

Gorgeous Cabin & Gorgeous Views!

This was the trip of a lifetime! We wanted to stay in a cabin in the mountains, surrounded by tall snow-capped trees and awe-inspiring views, and that is exactly what we got! There was plenty of room in the cabin for sleeping arrangements... two full bedrooms, an extra bed downstairs (game room), and a cushioned bay window that is certainly large enough for sleeping. The cabin stayed warm, and there were plenty of amenities to make us feel at home. We stocked up on meals/snacks (shopping is 15 minutes away in either Idaho Springs or Georgetown) and spent half of our stay simply enjoying the cabin and its surroundings. We would definitely book this cabin again in the future!

Beautiful Forest Mountain Home

This house is exactly as shown on the pictures. It is truly lovely with the constant sound of the mountain stream running next to the house. The owners album collection is wonderful and became the norm for listening whenever in the house and not out exploring. The internet worked well with no issues. Loved the house, the multiple throw blankets, full windows, laundry facilities, decor and most everything else! There were lots of spices, dishes, glasses and all else for a great cooking experience. But many of the pots are old and not cleaned well, and the large knives unusable as they haven't been sharpened in ages. The beds were a bit old as well, but not that bad. A smart TV would be a great addition for a movie night. Fix these things and its an easy 5*. But even with these few negatives, we would rent this place again!

House & location were great. Tree fell blocking our car. Property mgr never returned our call.

House worked well for two couples. Beautiful views. Loved the nearby creek rushing by the home. Snowed during our stay creating awesome scenery. Small tree fell across drive blocking our car. Storm knocked out electricity. Call to property manager went unanswered. We located and saw and were able to get out. Returned with hopes of cooking on the grill. No gas in the tank. Disappointed to say the least.

Incredible cabin

This cabin was PERFECT! From the minute you turn on the backroad to the cabin you are in another world! The cabin itself is breathtaking. I am not sure what the previous review was referring to as there are built in wall heaters in almost every room. It was snowing 3 days we were there and we did not need a fire at all really just wanted one. It does take a second maybe for the snow to clear from the top (im guessing) before the smoke has a clear exit route but it takes 1 minute. The cabin has everything you could imagine needing while you are there. They also have a sound system that is super neat! We did not mess with the crazy impressive record collection but do yourself a favor and just push play on whatever album is already in the CD player... that with the views from the living room windows at night with the snow all around, will bring a tear to your eye its so incredible. This cabin was so great we actually cancelled all our plans the first day and just had a snowed in day enjoying this amazing place. We will 100% be back! Thank you for sharing your place with us and if you ever want to sell, let me know!!

You'll never want to leave

I'm serious when I say, 'you'll never want to leave.' This gorgeous house has everything that you could possibly want for a restful, rejuvenating, and grounding weekend away in the mountains. From the extensive record collection to the comfort and coziness of the living room, warmed by the fireplace, it's simply ideal. The kitchen is beautiful and fully stocked, the beds are a dream - there's a SAUNA for heavens' sake! And then, LOOK at where you are. Gorgeous nature all around. A bubbling brook, woods to explore and trails to take. Skiing is close by so it's perfect in all seasons. Honestly, I loved pretending that I lived here - even the wood beams on the walls have a calming effect. Obviously I would come back here every weekend of my life if I could!
